Fsuipc crash on Nvidia surround

Recommended Posts

Hello, I bought Fsuipc last summer and i had no problem since then.

This week I upgraded my config and now using Nvidia Surround with a gtx 680.

I got the error show on the first post, I can manage to enter FSX if I run one screen ( still get error msg (FSUIPC.DLL), push on yes, and FSX fires on.)

BUT, if I activate Nvidia Surround, dunno why, when I press YES on error popup, FSX will crash...everytime. I have try like 100 times.

As soon as I deactivate the nvidia surround 3' monitors, it will work...

Something's definetly go wrong but what?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yann

Well, Pete, you said it has nothing to do with FSUIPC but I can tell it's not driver related :

(tested with latest official WHQL driver and new beta drivers)

Instal/config order.. :

Fresh instal of windows C: (SSD1)

Fresh Instal of FSX on D: (SSD2)

start the sim -> OK

Fresh Instal of Acceleration

start the sim -> OK

Fresh Instal of latest FSUIPC

start the sim -> Error message about FSUIPC.DLL, pushed on YES - FSX start

Launch test flight, everything is OK, close flight

configuring display

Launch test flight, everything is OK, close flight

shutdown FSX

Start FSX again, NO error of FSUIPC.DLL this time, great, everything work's

NOW:

->

Start Nvidia Surround panel and configure 3 screens OK

Start FSX, FSUIPC.DLL error msg again...

931782b3-8ad2-4ea7-a173-be1ce3ea0989.jpg

push YES like before...

FSX crashed

AFTER

-> Remove "MODULE" folder from FSX,

Still on Nvidia Surround

start FSX, Launch with no pb, I can play with the screens @5760*1080

AFTER

Put back FSUIPC ( new instal again) , deactivate Nv Surround, so 1 screen 1920*1080

Start FSX, Error msg(fsuipc.dll.....) push yes, FSX start!

close the sim

THEN

Nvidia surround activate again

Start FSX, error again, push yes, crash...

I don't know what's wrong but there is definetly a conflict somewhere!

Remember please, it s a new fresh instal on new drives!

I said myself, what's the link between nv surround and fsuipc? Look like there is no...but anyway it's not working

Sry for my school level english,

Have a good'day

Thanks for help

What EXACTLY does the error say?

Is an FSUIPC4.LOG file produced when this happens? If so, show me it. If not, then FSUIPC4 is not even started, it is an FSX problem.

Does the Windows error log show any details? If so show them to me.

I said myself, what's the link between nv surround and fsuipc? Look like there is no...but anyway it's not working

There is no possible link. It is either a bug in FSX / SimConnect, or in the nVidia driver. The only difference FSUIPC being loaded is making is in the timing of events. If there is no new FSUIPC4.LOG file made when it fails, then FSUIPC4 is not even starting, so there's nothing at all I can possibly do.

So, if there's no new log, try different drivers. If there is a log, show me it and the details of the Windows error log report.

Regards

Pete

I have the same error with an nvidia GTX680 with last whql drivers 301.42,, latest beta 304.48 and 304.79 in surround mode at 5760x1080 with fsuipc 4.484.

In the same pc and config , install an AMD 7970 with the same screen resolution and works fine.

Peter can you help? what do you need to log this error?

Regards from Spain
