You must be patient to run FSC 9.3

Recommended Posts

Goodday,

I just bought FSC 9.3 and register with the key given.

I installed FSC9.3 in F:\FSC9.3

My flightsim is FSX, also installed in F:\FSX

I runned the database manager. and after that i run FSC.

But i must wait for about 17 minutes and 20 secondes to become alive,

After this time, programm wil show a screen where i can choose an airport.

Why took it so long to start up this flightplan-programm?

Any help-full reply welcome.

Regards,

Joost

Hi Joost,

As Tom had already written (thanks Tom), I need all the requested information.

If the start time does not change in the meantime, send me the complete folder /SUPPORT.
My e-mail address you can find on our website www.fscommander.com.
The FSC writes a log file during startup. Below is a part of my log file.

Regards,

Volker

09.07.2013 12:36:34 - FSC  · Version 9.3 · Build: 26-June-2013 - User: vh
09.07.2013 12:36:34 - ************************************************************************

and so on

09.07.2013 12:36:47 - Check4WeatherFile successful (Wahr)
09.07.2013 12:36:48 - ReadUserObjects successful (Wahr)
09.07.2013 12:36:48 - LogFile written successfully
Logfile Closed

Total Time to Airport selection page = 14 Seconds and this is not a high end machine, but a 6 year old PC.

Hi Joost,

Thank you for sending me the folder /support.

Your statement (works perfectly in safe mode) and the information I have reading in the log file

actually point to a problem with WIN 7 itself.

Sorry, but I do not see any solution for your problem.

Check if your hard drive may have defective cluster.

I'm sorry I can not help you.

Kind regards,

Volker

btw.

Please let me know if you could solve the problem.

Hi Volker,

Thank you for your reaction.

I checked allready all drives (C:, F:).

The report says: Healthy drive.

I will investigate further. I hope i can find the answer why this programm starts after 17 minutes waiting.

otherwise I know i must start earlier to make a flightplan,  before actual fly with FSX,

Regards  Joost

btw:  FSX, installed also at F drive, is running good.

Hi Joost,

there must be a reason for the behavior of your PC.

Such a case has never been reported.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can find a solution.

Regards,

Volker
