When I try to use it Plan-G says it connects but the FSUIPC log shows several of these entries; 1279 Trying to connect to SimConnect SP1 May07 ... 1279 Now running with SimConnect SP1 May07 1388 Failed on SimConnect_Open, return = 0x80004005: FSUIPC4 cannot operate! This was at the beginning of the log if it helps: ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.92 by Pete Dowson *********Running inside FSX on Windows VistaModule base=5A010000 And the two applications don't seem to interact. You have a bad FSX installation with a corrupted SimConnect side-by-side entry. I suggest you first try updating to FSX SP2 or Acceleration, as this should fix that and will also fix a lot of other bugs in FSX.
