Recently Purchased MTX54C - Question!

Your concept is correct, however, FSX has its own (sometimes) unpredictable rules and does not always "play fair".

For safety sake you should disable any potentially conflicting MTX afcads (found in the MyTraffic\scenery floder) by adding a .off after the .bgl

For example:

If you have an addon for EGLL, go to the MTX scenery folder and search for files with EGLL in its name and add .OFF as described.

In this example you should at least find a file named BR2_EGLL.bgl and there may be more than one .bgl file for EGLL.

If you do not rename the MTX files you may see unusual aircraft parking or taxiing behaviour in addition to other anomalies.

Hope that helps you.

Cheers, Mike

Thanks Mike, yes that is the case.

It is easy to have many instances of the same airport  after a while, and often addon Airports based on FS9 code old Jeppesen data are not identified by FSX as a replacement of a stock or addon airport, but regarded as a different airport on the same location.
