SimObjects path still in quotes?

Recommended Posts

Do we still need to use quotes for MyTraffic path in FSX.cfg?

Now it is:

"F:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft"

I'm curious because I tried with qoutes and without quotes and the traffic seems ok in both cases.

Please advise,

Thanks.

No.  You can safely remove the quotes.   FSX can live with or without them.

However, I read on FSDeveloper that AIFP rejects SimObjectPath entries that use quotes since the stock FSX.cfg doesn't use them.  I'm not sure if any other program might have the same issue.

On my system it only runs with quotes - this will be one of the thousand details that depend on OS language Version and FSX language version.

AIFP is an important tool, so thank you for bringing this to light.
