FSUIPC assignet button not working with Teamspeak ingame

Recommended Posts

hi mates,

since p3d v3 i have this strange problem.

i´ve assigned a key by pressing a button on my joystick with fsuipc.

this thing is needed to activate the mic in teamspeak while flying at ivao/vatsim for voice communication but i think you guys now that.

so when i am ingame the button wont work for teamspeak, when i am switching to desktop it will work.

so any ideas ???

thx

So it was okay with FSX or p3Dv2, and you've nt changed anything else?

If the keypress is assigned to the button normally in FSUIPC, that keypress to sent to the program which currently has the focus, so it would normally always go to FS./P3D. I don't know how TeamSpeak gets them in that case. Do you know? Can you ask Teamspeak support what is needed?

yes pete it only appiers with p3dv3, in fsx and the other versions it works fine. ive tried it with other programs and there it is the same. it looks like the funktion wont work with external programms while in the game. but the funktion works in the game and when switching to desktop.

Thesel external programs are all wanting to receive keypresses you assigned to buttons? I don't know how they receive them in any case if they don't have keyboard focus. It shouldn't work whilst in any version of FS, UNLESS they are reading them from FS, which sounds unlikely. Or perhaps they define them as hotkeys? If that is the mechanism then I can only think that P3Dv3 is somehow stopping hotkeys stealing keypresses from itself.
