Airac display out of date (answered)

Recommended Posts

Hi ,

System specs - FSC Vers9.6 Rev6

FSDB Manager 9.6.0.1

FMS Data Manager 1.3.1.419

Airac Cycle 1606

FSX Acceleration on seperate SSD

FSUIPC 4.955 and WideFS both licenced

Hope I haven't forgotten anything?

The problem I have is FSC is not "picking up" the current Airac cycle - it opens with Airac 1501 Rev 1 Jan08-Feb04/15

I've trawled through the forums but not found anyone with a similar problem, although I assume there must be?

Hi,

Have you read the document Vista and Windows users please 7_8_10 read.pdf before installation?
If the installation was carried out according to the recommendations?
If the FlightSim CommanderSC installed as administrator?
If the FSC started as administrator?
If the cycle  installed in the correct folder \FSC?
If the Cycle installed as administrator?

Volker

Hello Volker and thankyou for the reply.

I can answer "YES" to the first four lines.

Where is the cycle folder as I appear to have two, (screen grabs not  attached due to size limits).

How does the current cycle get transferred to FSC?

Many thanks,

Malcolm.

Thanks Volker, I think my problem arose from upgrading from version 9.5 to 9.6.

It appears to have created a new database but still retain the old one as well.

I think my best option is to uninstall completely and start again.

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Malcolm.

Hi Malcolm,
Do you have made a clean installation from 9.5 to 9.6 or just an upgrade?
Then I recommend a clean installation.

Important to back the following files:

\Register.fsc - \fsccolor.ini - \fsc.ini -
\User\Blackbox - \User\Logbook.fsc - \User\aircraft.fsc - \User\BuddyIvao.fsc - \User\BuddyVatsim.fsc
\Flightplan\FSC
\Database\UserWP.txt - \Database\UserObj.txt

De-Install the old version.
Make sure that the FSC folder is completely removed.

Regards,
Volker

Thanks Volker,

Yes it was an upgrade to 9.6 so a clean install is my next step.

Can you tell me why I need to backup the files mentioned above?

Plus I don't have  \User\BuddyIvao.fsc or  \User\BuddyVatsim.fsc

Many thanks,

Malcolm.

Hi Malcolm,
In most files are your personal settings or licensing.
If you do not have these 2 files (\User\BuddyIvao.fsc or  \User\BuddyVatsim.fsc), that's O.K.

Regards,
Volker

Hello Volker,

I've reinstalled FSC 9.6 Rev7 and successfully run the database manager.

Sadly it's still showing the Airac 1501 at the begining and it will not accept my registration details.

Do I need to contact "simMarket" or can you advise me please?

Best regards,

Malcolm.

Hi Malcolm,
SimMarket is a seller. The do not offer any support.

Please read the attached documents.

Are you sure that performed the installation as an administrator?
If YES, what makes you so sure?
Everything indicates that the installation is unsuccessful as Admin.
This applies both to the cycle and for the licensing.

Please send to my e-mail the complete FSC subfolder /SUPPORT.
The
e-mail address can be found here: www.fscommander.com

Volker
