E Jets no Auto pilot lights

I know the plane came with no AP lights...this is very disconcerting for a pilot to look up at the glare shield to make sure everything is on...and see no lights...was it ever fixed?

If you mean the indicators on the flight guidance panel, there is not really anything to fix. It's explained in the operating manual. On real E-Jets it appears the FGP indicator lights are optional rather than standard and were often not specified by airlines. Although the same FGP fascia panel appears to have been used in either case, only some of them have working lights. In all cases, the FGP autopilot selections are indicated on the PFD.

hi biggles...are you saying that the real AP lights on this AC do not light and omitted for authenticity

if such a feature is optional...then i would certainly opt in...who wants to check functions and see all off?

yes, on most

You always check the functions/modes on the PFD not on the FCGP (on the PFD you also see standby modes, modes changing etc - which you cannot on the glareshield, even if the FCGP would be lit).

if the lack of lights represents real world i appreciate the authenticity...but i still find them being lit on other AC quite helpful...in any case...thank you for clarifying
