what would be even more cool though to is that if in Tower!3D Pro that you could have the deicing trucks deice planes and have snow removal equipment to that would remove snow from the runways maybe that can be put in The XX version of tower.

You could put this idea into the Towerxx wishlist forum and see if they are willing to do that.

Go on his video comments and ask him then! 😉

You sure he will tell? 😉

Because of the loop it can be a video or image sequence with alpha. I doubt that the snow is an effect that comes from the game engine. I would solve it with an overlay during or after the recording. With the foggy mode and an appropriate opacity setting it can appear as if the snow is behind the windows (ADIRS, etc.).

Of course I can't say how Joe did that exactly. Maybe he actually programmed it into the game somehow, who knows. I don't think it really matters that much. In the end it's a fantastic idea and looks great.

Ha ha. Probably not but got the reaction wanted I guess.

I am with you as it looks like a pre/post production technique I have seen before called Particle Snow effect or something similar possibly.

Good idea though and another reason for "seasons" ability etc if/when the new version comes out 😁

Nope, definitely not via the game engine. The recorded loop indicates it was done using an overlay or some other software.

Cool visual effect if you're into that, but if he can get the snow to stick to the ground I'll really be impressed. 😀

I'm not saying there is snow in the game, but this sure looks like it. I went for a screenshoot with a snowflake behind the strip, so that you know it hasn't been overlaid on top.

p.s. Just looked at ATControl Joe's video, yep definately a video overlay, the snow in the game engine doesn't move with the camera ie. if you pan the camera to the left in the game, the snow will move from left to right across the screen while you are panning.

@crbascott Would you believe i'm l33t haxor and all your base are belong to us? ☠️😝

Yes, it's a tweak. I re-wrote the speech part of towerspeakbridge and parts of the command parser because I wanted access to all of my installed voices. I have a few, including one's that microsoft have now 'retired', thus the Disney voices 😉   I also did some optimisation and fixed a few bugs while I was there.

The two David's and Zira's are actually the same, but the Hazel's are different.

Figured as much. 😞

It's a shame ... if I had your version of T!3D I might still be playing it.
