Transfer points & hours to new laptop

Recommended Posts

Good morning everyone

So I got a new laptop, managed to install all the files, T!3DPro works great....

Is there any way I can transfer my accumulated hours and points across without resorting to a registry hack?

(I kinda doubt it but thought it would be worth a shot)

Thanks!

BLB

Actually, if if you have a way of copying It's he files from the T3D folder of your old computer to a USB drive, then put it in the same folder on your new computer, your progress should carry over. 🙂

It's what I did when I got my new computer a couple of months ago.

Even the hours controlled and points? You sure about that?

The landings, takeoffs, penalties and total score are stored in the registry under "HKCU\Software\FeelThere\Tower! 3D Pro".

Yeah I found them there but I'm a little nervous to mess around with my registry.

Thanks!

I am sure. 🙂

OK, but not sure how just copying the T!3D folder got your stats too (since they are in the registry).

I have no idea, either, unless that info also lives in one of the data files several levels down.

Yeah that must be it. So I ran an experiment, sent a plane off from KPHX a few minutes ago, after wheels up, sent it the contact departure command (you paying attention @Braf123456?) 🙂 - quit the game, then fired up Windows Explorer. Not one single file shows a last modified date of this morning, in any of the folders under the folder tree of d:/Program Files (x86)/FeelThere.

Weird.

EDIT: two files have the date stamp of this morning:

output_log.txt file & speech.log
