As I was practicing an RNAV app to EPBY on Jan 10th 9.00AM, I've made several approaches. The weather was quite bad - lot of rain spots below 5000AGL. I used WX tilt -1.5 deg during descent. Sometimes WX radar on ND showed rain, sometimes not. The quality of graphic was as in Mateusz's post
Mateusz
Embraer195, yes, this ugly view is, when i have "zoom" between 2,5 - 5. EDIT, After few flights, im sure, weather radar work incorrect. Edited January 21, 2020 by Mateusz
FeelThere Ariel
@ktomi65 can you confirm if this is happening in the E170 too? I assume you have it.
alex.koshterek
Yes, it's working correct. We use data from ActiveSky and at the resolution is 1/4 nm per "pixel", that's why it does look ugly at lower ranges
Mateusz
Is wx radar should show rain when i am on ground? (during rainy weather)
Matty260191
3 hours ago, Mateusz said: Is wx radar should show rain when i am on ground? (during rainy weather) Only if you have the angle set up enough for it to detect the rain cloud.

Matty260191
After landing it goes it to forced standby but Im pretty sure I have been able to turn in on the runway before departure.

scoobflight
What altitude was the rain v. the plane's? What angle did you have the plane's radar (ie, level, down, up and degrees)? You confirmed that the plane's radar was active and not in a standby mode or off?
Mateusz
I kept 3000 feet, and it was raining at this height. Angel of radar you can see in the picture, 0,0. I changed the angle, but it didn't help. Yes, weather radar was active.
raam123
So is there any update for the “ugly” resolution ?

Mateusz
Im not sure, but i think i found solution (i will continue the testing). Starting programs in that order: 1. REX EF 2. REX SF3d3. Active Sky 4.P3D 5. Connect to vatsim (swift) In this case, wx radar in embraer work incorect. 1. REX EF 2. REX SF3d3. P3D 4. Connect to vatsim (swift) 5.Active Sky Then it works 🙂

Many add-ons in FS's history needed to be loaded in a specific order to work correctly.
Mateusz
What is the reason for deleting my post? What about increasing the resolution?
FeelThere_Vic
22 hours ago, Mateusz said: What is the reason for deleting my post? What about increasing the resolution? 1) because your attitude in that post 2) it will cost too much fps. Sometime we have to decide between feature and fps. Let's give this topic a rest, any further comment will be deleted.
