Airplane not in file?

In the manifest file for texpack 23 there is a listing:

- Assets/Resources/airplanes/Textures/CNF._m#.jpg

But in the dfw airplanes file, there is no "CNF. " there is:

CNF_-CNF-CESSNA 208B CARAVAN                      -TURBOPROP

Am I missing something or is this the same plane?

It's the same plane but that particular livery is only for the following small cargo carrier:

MRA, M#, MAR TEX, Martinaire, United States

I don't see any flights for that airline in Real Traffic, so I have no idea why it was included in RC for KDFW. They primarily fly in/out of Addison (KADS).

@Pedantic G, any clue why this in in RC for KDFW?

There is quite a few liveries that are not accompanied by a RT schedule these days 🙂

When an RC pack for an airport is originally released, logically it would make sense that it sync up with RT. However, apparently Team Nyerges has a different method to their madness.

You have asked a question that you already knew the answer to (you answered your own question later in the thread) and has been explained before in comments in the Tower 3D Pro - Real Colors/Aircraft Master List by Airport thread, however I have updated the text in this thread to make it explicitly clear.

Again the question has been answered before on why the RC packs over the last few releases have included more RC than are in the RT (to support custom schedules and noted forum requested member requests e.g. the new cargo variant's without the windows) to enhance game play.

In most cases the published RT Schedule will try and cover all the examples but it will never be a 100% as not all airlines that serve an airport fly everyday to that airport (in some cases it may only be on weekday's, weekend's, a couple of times a week etc) and when the published RT schedule is put together it may not have actually flown on that day and therefore not have been included. Of course flights could be artificially added to cover ALL likely flights in the published RC but this would not be Real Traffic on a given day would it but made up daily traffic (a vicious circle, illogical or madness, what ever people want to call it).

To plagiarize a well known Abraham Lincoln quote "You can please all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time"

The ideal solution is for the RT to be a weeks worth of data with the ability to load a given day and time frame at the start of the game but as we all know that cannot happen in the current format of the game. 😉
