Yes, Instructions on how to activate your WideFS license are included in the link above (as well as in the README.txt included in the downloadable zip file).

The second image shows that you have  'Gear Down' assigned - is this not working?

If L,9 is showing , FSUIPC is receiving a press event for it. Could it be a problem with a sticky/faulty button? Try logging 'Buttons & Keys', to see if FSUIPC is receiving these when not pressed. Or maybe locate which button/switch that is on your device and see if you can turn it off.

Hi,
I'm trying to connect P2ATC on my networked PC, to my MSFS 2020 PC.
(I have this setup working flawlessly with XP-11) but I'm stuck...
I've installed the latest FSUIPC7 beta,
and bought a key for WideFS.
I start the sim. When I execute FSUIPC7 on the MSFS 2020 pc,
FSUIPC7 says: "Simulator is available: connected"
But when I execute WideFS on the client PC,
WideFS says: "wideclient fs98 eliminator - waiting for a connection"
I read the documentation, I tried the process without firewall, I made sure the the 2 pc's
are on the same work-group, I registered the WideFS "key" to FSUIPC7's key file...
I think both my WideClient.ini & WideServer.ini are not configured correctly.
I simply don't know how to config the 2 files...
And yes, I read the documentation.
I'm just a flight simmer, I don't get all this coding language, sorry 😞
I've been reading for 2 days all the topics about connecting WideFS on the a client PC...
Can anyone please help with the WideClient.ini & WideServer.ini files?
Thank you.

First, there's no "WideServer.INI" (and no "WideServer.DLL"). WideServer is included in FSUIPC7. the only part of WideFS you need is WideClient. Delete WideServer.INI and WideServer.DLL from the FSUIPC folder.

Second, if you actually read the documentation I assume you must have read the part on page 3 headed:

Configure your Network
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ALL USERS TO READ AT LEAST PART OF THIS!

This tells you about possible connection problems due not only to Windows Firewalls, but also to its WorkGroup system. It also suggests making things more straightforward for WideClient to connect by providing the ServerIPAddr and Protocol parameters. Try that.

Coding language? Entering single line parameters is "coding" in your book? In a foreign language?  Flying, whether on a simulator or for real, is a complex task and surely requires some application -- configuring things is all part of the task. You must have had to configure things before, surely?

BTW the WideClient.log you uploaded appears to be empty. How did that happen?

If you have any more problems, the FSUIPC7.LOG from the FSUIPC7 folder is more important, plus the WideClient.LOG on the client PC.

Thank you for your reply.

WideClient is working!

I went over the documentation again, and again didn't understand what to do...

(That's why I called it coding language, I'm sure most people get it. I don't)

I deleted both FSUIPC7 & WideClient. unzipped again, and again registered the WideFS to FSUIPC7 .key file

and it worked!

Thank you 🙂
