Set Master Caution / Warning Reset on physical module

Recommended Posts

MOVED FROM FAQ FORUM!!!

Hi guys,

I'm using the FSUIPC v6 on Prepar 3D v4 to configure all digital buttons of a 737 PMDG in a physical module.

Most part of buttons I can set using de List Var, finding the correspondent name and setting it when I press the physical button, but I'm having some issues with  Master Caution and Warning Reset buttons. They don't appear in List Var and I tried to create a MACRO, but when I check the "FSUIPCv6.log" I don't know exactly how to find the correspondent name of these buttons, cause the names look like codes.

Is there a way to find it easily and configure the buttons?

Thanks in advice

Why are you using L:Vars when PMDG generously provides all the controls you need as additional assignable controls? These are all listed in the .h file installed in your PMDG 737's SDK folder. Look to the end.

The number representing the controls can be used to make assignments in FSUIPC as <custom> Controls.

You can also use mouse macros with PMDG aircraft, but using the controls PMDG provide is far more straightforward.

If there are no lvars, you can check if there is a custom control you can use instead - sorry, don't have the PMDG 737 so I'm not sure what custom controls are available. Otherwise,  yes, try using a mouse macro...

But why are you looking at the log to create a mouse macro? You don't need to look at the log to create a mouse macro, or to then assign the macro to a button.

I see Pete has also just replied....
