FSX Crash

Recommended Posts

My FSx-Steam refuses to start all of a sudden!! All a bit worrying after the amount of work I have put in on setting up all the panels and switches.

Do you know why it is saying this please? 🙏 👇

"Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on):

"Name: FSUIPC4 DLL: FS new universal IPC interface

Version: 4.975a

Company: Peter L. Dowson File: Modules\FSUIPC4.d||

Do you want to run this software (not recommended)?

To avoid seeing this message in the future, uninstall this program or disable its ability to start when running Flight Simulator. For more information about third-party programs, contact the publisher or see http:\www.fsinsider.com."

If you say NO, FSx runs but obviously badly, if you say YES it stops.   Any help appreciated.

Thank you Rachel

Two things:

1. Your FSUIPC is out of date. Please download version 4.976 and re-install. No need to re-register, just select 'not now' when it asks.

2. If you now get this problem say YES. If FSX then crashes, please show me the FSUIPC4.LOG file from the FSX Modules folder, and also the Windows crash details from the Event Viewer (Windows logs - Application.

The most usual cause of this a corrupted weather file.  Please see this thread in the FAQ subforum:
