n00b mode suggestion for Tower! Simulator 3

This may have been suggested before but one thing that would help me as I continue to learn how to play this sim is if the arriving and departing aircraft showed up as different colors on the ADIRS.  While this may not be realistic, I wonder if it could be a configuration option to help those of us just learning to differentiate whether a plane is coming or going.

Take that one step further, would be kind of helpful if there was an option to enable persistent path displays. What i mean is with this option enabled, the charted path on the ground for ALL aircraft would be displayed (ideally in different colors). This would show us the intersection points easily and where we may need to keep an eye on to issue hold commands. Yeah, I know this will get messy really quick with 10+ aircraft movements at once.

Anyway, just a couple suggestions for something of a training mode.  Thx!

I'm sure FeelThere will chime in at some point but in theory wishlist items are no longer being accepted for the new version.

Regarding your ADIRS request of different colors for departures/arrivals, this has definitely already been requested in the official wishlist thread (see link below). The ADIRS we have been using since Tower!2011 is very old technology and should be replaced by something much better and newer (ASDE-X for example) in the next version. FYI - this request has already been implemented in an official?/unofficial? T!3DP mod that is heavily promoted by a certain YouTuber.

Regarding your second request, can't say I've seen this feature in any videos or screenshots. But, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. However, I do agree, it will get messy quick.

This is an interesting idea. The feature list is locked already and we wont add anything anymore to the release version other than the planned features. However we are planning a new philosophy for Tower! Simulator 3. Instead of releasing it as a static product with a couple of service packs, we plan ( I use the word plan because it's not part of the marketing, advertising or whatsoever, it's just an open communication to the community about things we discuss within the team) to release regular updates with fixes and new features and maybe even a new airports in every once in a while (more about it later in one of the upcoming developer's blog because we wrote a tool that would allow one to create a new airport within days without any major 3D modelling experience). This could be one of those feature in the future.

Thank you

Vic

This sounds suspiciously like paid updates/fixes resp. a subscription model.

I look forward getting to read more about it soon, but I'm not happy about the premise though.

Or ... hopefully ... they could be following the approach of a "small" flight sim developer who originally released their current version in March 2017 and have continued to this day to provide at no additional cost to the customer "regular" releases that include bug fixes, enhancements, and new features. I definitely prefer this approach versus what we've seen historically (bug fixes for a very limited time and no new features).
