custom schedule for tower 2011

If "like this" is accurate, using lower case is your issue? Of course, you're going to reply that you used upper case. So, not surprisingly, "like this" doesn't help much.

You've been around long enough to know a little typo anywhere in the file can be a big problem. A log file and the schedule itself would be much more helpful than "like this".

I converted my 2011 schedule into 3D
First line of the original :
ABZ,LHR,319,BA,1301,09:10,09:10,0,BA

Both are prepared in a spreadsheet, saved as CSV then renamed as TXT file
From memory the difference is one of the columns, just simply swap them

T!11:
ABQ, LAX, 73G, WN, 474, 07:35, 06:40, 115, WN

T!3D:
ABQ, LAX, 73W, WN,  130, 06:52, 12:00, 1, WN

What column is to swap?

The only differences I see are that in T!11 no more than one whitespace is used after the commas and that information is given for the duration and not just a "1" as a placeholder.
However, I doubt that this is relevant.

EDIT: For testing, I just created a schedule for LAX (one hour, time: 08:00) using Schedule Builder. I set the time in T!11 (Tower!2011:SE to be precise) to 16:00 and the schedule was executed without any problems.

Change the 1 to 0 (zero)
00:00 is the origin departure time, so change that to 05:04 and the program will in effect ignore it (the travel time is now zero)

I don't know for sure, but doubt that T!11 takes duration seriously. T!3D does not at all. In my test, it made no difference whether there was a 1, 0 or 100; at least not with the 1-hour schedule used. As I understand it, any T!3D schedule should work in T!11 and vice versa.

However, you should make sure that you enter the correct time.
For example, if you create a Miami (or Charlotte) schedule for 05:00 (5am, EST) you must enter 10:00 (10am, UTC) when you start the game.

EDIT: I could not find KCLT as an addon on FeelThere.com or the Steam Store. Does the airport exist in the game?

Yeah for some reason majority of the airports for tower 2011 are gone off the website

Could it be these are FeelThere designed, all the others removed

The older website still has them all
https://www.atcsuite.com/tower2011
Disadvantage is when there is a FeelThere sale as it does not apply to the old website

  1. The schedule format is the same for T!2011 and T!3D. Flipping columns and changing ones to zeroes is not needed and bad advice. Duration is ignored.
  2. @EliGrim was on the right track. However, the GMT offset for Charlotte is -4 (in my version). So, using your schedule you need to start the game at 09:00.
  3. I copied your schedule exactly how you posted it above and it worked.
    1. The first flight that spawned was your SWA3310 departure at 09:22 (05:22).
    2. The second flight that spawned was the AA640 arrival at 09:40 (05:40).
    3. Unless you modify your airlines and terminal file, the arrival at 09:04 (05:04) will not spawn. In my 2011 airlines file, 5Y is Isles of Scilly Skybus and surprisingly is not in my terminal file for Charlotte. 🙂 I believe 5Y is now GTI (Atlas Air).

GMT to Charlotte is -5 hours (October to March)
If you have -4 hours then it is BST (March to October)

Not BST.

The GMT offset is updateable in the Airfield editor. Don't know if -4 is how it was shipped or something I edited. DST adjustments are not automated and must be done manually.

Either it's your version of the game or it was released during standard time (with Miami included) and Charlotte was released during daylight saving time and the game doesn't differentiate. This makes the UTC input appear absurd but would not surprise me. I don't have any airport addons for T!11 so I can't say for sure.

If I remember correctly, it was you who got me on this track in the first place. I am walking on your trail, so to speak. 💖
