Tower 3D (non-Pro) Add-ons Don't Work

I recently purchased Tower 3D (non-Pro) on the Steam site and found that it was a program that I would enjoy using.  I came over here to the Tower 3D site and downloaded the following updates and airports, and I cannot find that the airports have been installed  (DFW and EGKK).  They do not show in the airports list on the program.

The updates I installed were:

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - Real Traffic for Tower!3D  -  "RT_Tower3D_PRO_sp6v31.exe"

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - NEW Real Color update  -  "RC_Tower3D_Update.exe"

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - Real Color KDFW for Tower!3D  -  "RC_Tower3D_KDFW.exe"    (Dallas-Ft. Worth APT, TX)

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - Real Color EGKK for Tower!3D  -  "RC_Tower3D_EGKK_SP1.exe"    (Gatwick APT, ENG)

I am not sure whether the Traffic and Color updates installed correctly, or whether the Traffic file was the correct one, since it has "Pro" in the filename?  Does anyone have any idea if these were right?  I was careful to choose what looked like the correct updates, but may have got the wrong ones.  I chose not to use the "Pro" versions, because I prefer not to use simulations online.

Are there any other updates I need to use the downloaded airports with this sim?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately, I did double check the base folder before installing, as I usually do before installing anything.  I had to add the exclamation after the "Tower!" for the Steam version folder, but otherwise, they should have installed to the correct place.  I checked out the article on the "EliGrim" website, and there are differences, but not sure that my files should have added those, or what they did add actually.  I am running an HP desktop, with Win 8.1  64-bit, a fast processor, 12-gigs of Ram and 2 gigs of GRam.  Plenty of drive space.  I tried re-installing the files again, and no help.  They still don't show up.  Any more ideas?  Thanks again!

No, my original post showed the following.  Maybe you didn't get the whole message for some reason.

The updates I installed were:

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - Real Traffic for Tower!3D  -  "RT_Tower3D_PRO_sp6v31.exe"

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - NEW Real Color update  -  "RC_Tower3D_Update.exe"

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - Real Color KDFW for Tower!3D  -  "RC_Tower3D_KDFW.exe"    (Dallas-Ft. Worth APT, TX)

Nyerges Design ATCSuite - Real Color EGKK for Tower!3D  -  "RC_Tower3D_EGKK_SP1.exe"    (Gatwick APT, ENG)

As mentioned before, it is crucial to buy the airport add-ons and install them in the correct directory to be able to play the airports. The installation paths for the different versions (Steam, non-Steam, Pro, non-Pro) differ.

Both the Pro and non-Pro version comes with 3 airports (TIST, KPHL, KLAX) and fantasy airlines, aircraft models and liveries.

The paid Real Traffic AddOn (latest version assumed, currently sp6v31) replaces the made up aircraft models and airline names/callsigns with real ones and provides a (realistic) schedule for each available airport (base game and paid airport AddOns). Since Real Traffic does not contain liveries, only white aircraft are displayed after installation.

The paid Real Color packs then bring the liveries for the aircraft models, which are based on the real world. The packs are sorted by airports, because they relate to the mentiond schedules that are installed with Real Traffic. So there are usually many liveries in the packs that also appear in other packs.
Liveries are displayed across all airports and therefore it is often not necessary to buy all Real Color packs, depending on your individual situation.

To play an airport with real callsigns, airplane models and liveries, which is not included in the base game, the purchase of the desired airport and additionally Real Traffic (one-time) and the corresponding Real Color pack and/or other packs is required.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Far be it from me to cause confusion and so I would appreciate it if you would let me know (here or via PM) which article you are referring to, as I do not run a blog nor have I published any articles about the game on my website. (At least none that I can think of - but I'm not getting any younger, though.)

Nope I got the whole message. And as I said earlier and @Edwin1970 reiterated, the above list does NOT include any airports. It appears you are confused about the Tower!3D product line and what does what. If it is not too late I would recommend at a minimum trying to get a refund for “NEW Real Color update” as it will not benefit you at all. Edwin provided links to the actual airports, but I’d wait for a sale because at this stage it is not worth paying full price for anything related to this product line.

Ah, I see what happened.  Because one of the APT files said Tower 3D-Pro, and the other just said Tower 3D, I just assumed that they were the same APT files but made for different programs, IE: Tower 3D and Tower 3D-Pro.  My mistake.

Thanks to all of you for your help!

Reply To EliGrim about his website:

Sorry about that Eli.  I was actually taking about some pictures I found of the expected folder locations of these programs, and now I think I found them on Steam or somewhere else, not on your site.  I just assumed it was yours because I downloaded your "Pathfinder" program for Tower earlier.

This is what happens when you surf the net too late at night.  :)  It turns your brain to mush..  haha..  Speaking for myself of course.

@FSXFan no worries, I was just a little confused. I hope that the Pathfinder has found the correct paths for you.

I recommend requesting a refund via Steam (Help -> Steam-Support) for the airport purchased for the Pro version.
If you buy the airports outside of Steam, e.g. via atcsuite.com or preferably feelthere.com since there are frequent sales, you can use the airports, just like Real Traffic and the Real Color packs, for both versions (Pro and non-Pro).
On Steam, an airport DLC is bound to the product ID, at least as far as the download is concerned. So a Pro airport DLC will not be installed if you don't own the Pro version and vice versa. (If you own both versions, you can theoretically copy the airport folder and paste it into the directory of the other version. Whether this is legally okay I don't know, but technically it's not a problem.)

You are not the first and probably not the last with this problem. This whole Pro-non-Pro-DLC-AddOn thing is unfortunately not very well done by FeelThere and is very not customer friendly. With the next Tower version this whole purchase and installation hassle will hopefully be solved.
