  1. Hi folks, I know I haven't downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC recently. I used to have Windows 7 Home 64bit and FSX as a flight sim and a purchased version of FSUIPC. I'm reasonably certain that the flight sim version itself isn't a problem, but what about the upgraded Windows 10 version? I built a new computer and Upgraded the O/S to Windows 10 Pro 64bit. I'm only now getting back into the flight sim hobby and I think I can make my controller setup a bit simpler and more accurate if I install FSUIPC. Which brings me to the question, will I need to re-purchase FSUIPC for Windows 10 and/or FS 2020, or is the FSUIPC I purchased good for the Windows 10 and any flight sim? Thank you, Rich
  2. Fred, can you tell me who is "Technically" responsible and credited for this program? I ask because I'm a tech writer, (FS aircraft manuals), and am doing a job in which the HTR program will be mentioned. I'd like to give a proper credit resource to that affect. Thanks, Rich
  3. You sir, are a genious!! You wouldn't believe the battle-plan I had prepared last night for trying to repair this, this morning! It was after 1AM so I awoke early today to address this issue because I have a Tuesday Deadline to meet on the manual I'm writing. So here I was ready to apply one hour, (2 max), in an attempt to fix this and I had written up a step by step procedure that was going to be time consuming and blah, blah, blah... But I went and tried your first suggestion, (digging my heels in , ready to do them all), and BAM! Running the FSUIPC installer did it! I was so focused on the research/trials that I was doing yesterday and to this moment I'm convinced that I saw the 'warning sign' that this was going to happen but looked right 'through it'! I need to pay more attention, whew! Thank you very much! Rich
  4. Thank You Pete! I'll get right on it. As you instructed; I'm going to run the re-installer for FSUIPC4, (I have the payware version), then if still nothing, I'll run the Accufeel installer, and then if still unsuccessful, I'll retrieve the dll.xml's for you to look at. I 'll let you know what happens. BTW: I went to a previous restore point last night but that didn't help.
  5. HI folks, I know its something dumb that I must have done earlier today that has probably resulted in FSUIPC4 and another program, (Accufeel), from showing up in the drop-down list in FSX, (and Simconnect... I think). Simconnect isn't there either! I was very busy working and at some point I needed to remove an older version of an experimental plane before I installed the latest version. I seem to remember seeing FSUIPC4 in a folder as I was removing or searching for something, (I swear I can't remember and that's probably the cause). Anyway, "Modules" in the FSX folder has the FSUIPC and other program but it doesn't show up in the tool bar as I said. Should'nt they be in "Add-on Modules, BTW? I have the FSX Gold deluxe w/accl pack. Should I run the first disc and pick "Repair" if that disc has that to offer? In my searches I saw something about Simconnect and how FSX has it on the disc but I'm afraid that if I run it I may overwrite and lose all my addons, (UTX, GEX FTX etc.). I guess I'm saying that I'm afraid to make a move until I get some more substantial advice. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rich Windows 7 HP 64bit, i7 2600K 8gb Ram etc. etc.
  6. Thank You Pete!, (That was quick!), Actually you gave me plenty to work with and a good direction to start looking. 4 or 5 months ago I could have sworn I downloaded a PDF manual titled FSUIPC for Dummies but I ran somme google searchses and didn't find it. There were a few posts with that title but no manual. I may have the exact title wrong and I think it was written by someone who just decided to 'put it out there' for anyone who wanted it. Anyway, if you do know of the manual I'm speaking about and where to find it please drop that link or title here. It is also possable that I'm mixing the manual up with some other subject, (sometimes my memory dissapoints me). I downloaded the FSUIPC program but I'm not going to install it until tomorrow, (out of time tonight). So between those suggestions and the manual I can get myself a good start and then may have additional questions afterwards. Thanks Again.
  7. Hi Folks, I recently got the Logitech G940, (great system), and have been programing it directly through the FSX control panel. There are a lot of drawbacks doing that but the main one is that I can't use the "Mode" switch option which allows me to triple the number of switches, (I'm going to assume all are familiar with that). So, I am preparing myself for trying out the FSUIPC system and I was hoping that there may be someone out there that has a profile or 2 they wouldn't mind sharing here with me. I believe that this would make it faster, if not easier to get back up and flying. I haven't read any of the FSUIPC manuals in over 3 or 4 months and will be starting that ASAP but I think my learning curve would be faster if I edited a profile already loaded than if I had to start from scratch. I remembered that there was a "FSUIPC for Dummies" tutorial which I had, (but deleted months ago), and am about to search for and download again. Still in the meantime, anyone who may have anything that can help me program the G940 faster and/or easier I would sure like to hear from. Thanks
