  1. Welcome to the FSX-scene, Ruud!! This is the best news I heard about FSX-addons for a long time. :D I will be on your doorstep to get them as soon as possible.
  2. FScene and FSX.

Ruud. I fully understand the above. But will, as far as you know at this moment, the excisting FScene textures be compatible with FSX?
  3. Missing Textures folder

Indeed Ruud, but I myself ONLY use the FULL installation methode as long as I use Microsoft Flightsimulator so I sometimes forget that there are other install options too. It's good you made this correction.
  4. Missing Textures folder

The folder (in FS9!) should be here: ..\Flight Simulator 9\scenery\world\texture And that folder should have been made by the initial installation of Flight Simulator. And THERE you should paste your tectures to!! Good luck!
  5. Hi Ruud. Thanks for the wonderfull offer! As a long time user I've just taken my part of it and downloaded all 3 scenery packages. I hope that you will continue developping these wonderfull scenery addons for a long time (FSX?).
  6. Congratulations

Hi Ruud. Congratulations with this jubilee. I've been using your textures for Europe from the beginning and I still like them very much. Since almost all of my flying is within Europe I never have felt the need to get the other textures but I've seen the screens of them and they are as good as the ones I have for Europe. Beautifull!! I hope you will continue to deliver textures for FS for a long time! Grts. Paul.
  7. Small FScene Issues

I have the downloaded version, so I can't tell what's going on on the CD version. I think the best thing is to ask Ruud Faber in person by PM. Maybe he can advice you further. Paul.
  8. Small FScene Issues

If you have installed things correctly then there MUST be a folder FScene and there should be a file called Final install.html. But in case you cannot find it at all I put the relevant text from it below: THESE ARE PART OF THE WORDS WRITTEN BY RUUD FABER IN HIS INSTALL FILE If you wish to remove the small airports: The Install programm made a "Home" for your FScene2004 Projects: ..:\FScene2004\ The bitmaps WITHOUT small airports have been placed in a separate sub-directory e.g.: ..:\FScene2004\FScene-Europe-Summer\small airports\bmps without small airports here. Locate this Sub-Directory and open it Select all the *.bmp files (2) and then select Copy. Paste these files into ..\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\Texture by accepting overwriting all. If you like to use the small airports again: If you ever removed them you can replace them as follows: The Install programm made a "Home" for your FScene2004 Projects: ..:\FScene2004\ The bitmaps WITH small airports have been placed in separate sub-directory e.g.: ..:\FScene2004\FScene-Europe-Summer\small airports\bmps with small airports here. Locate this Sub-Directory and open it Select all *.bmp files (2) and then select Copy. Paste these files into ..\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\Texture by accepting overwriting all. The autogen files of FScene are going the same way: Unzip the file to a storage folder (maybe the same you use for the other textures) and from there copy them to ..\Flight Simulator 9\scenery\world\textures, again accepting overwriting all. You're strongly advised to make a backup of those original FS files BEFORE overwriting them. Good luck! Paul.
  9. See topic http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=47606 Paul.
  10. Even downloading and installing the newest version of FSUIPC (3.5.3.0 dated January 1th 2006) wil not cure the problem of getting the message. The ONLY way is to modify your FS9.CFG file (as decribed above) or to delete the FSSound.dll completely (I know from my own experience!). Paul.
  11. The MAAM DC3/C47 bundle is giving the same problem. If you do not install FSsound.dll but selected to not install the file as optional asked in the warning message you get when starting FS, you simply will not see all the gauges. It's mentioned in the manual :) . And indeed it's solved with the additional item in FS9.CFG. I think this applies to your problem too. So you better reinstall the FSsound.dll file and make the addition in your FS9.CFG file. However. There seem to be a new version of the FSSound dll file, v1.6 (beta ). Check at ftp://fssound.hn.org/FSSound/v1.6/FSSound160beta1.zip. This file too will cure the problem of the false warnings (with thanks to the MAAM team for supplying this information). Grt. Paul.
  12. Small FScene Issues

READ THE MANUAL (how many times has that been written here already??? ) You're provided with TWO sets of textures, one WITH small airfields and one WITHOUT small airfields. Simply install the files without the small airfields and the're gone! Read the Final-install.html for installation instructions. Grt. Paul.
