  1. Hi

    Is it possible to program a button press on a joystick to send a virtual button (button 9) at offset H3340. I have tried sending to x3340 with parameter x9 but it does not seem to work.

    I am wanting to do this so I can detect the joystick button being pressed in a program of my own over a network with WideFS using VB.net and FSUIPCDotNetClient1.3, FSUIPC 3.81, Widefs (from log) version 6.763.

    My program can see virtual button 9 being pressed using the buttons in widefs over the network so that part seems to be working ok just having difficulty getting FSUIPC to send if.

    Hope you can help or point me in the right direction should I have missed something.

  2. shows how long since I did an update. Did not need one for the three programs I link on separate systems as all was working well it was only the problem with vista prompted me to see if there was a solution available and downloaded the latest versions in hope.

    I've given wideclient folder and exe full permissions but it still does not work with UAC on. Bring Back XP

  4. Hi Peter

    Appologies if this subject is mentioned somewhere else that I have missed, in which case please could you send me a link.

    My problem is that the keysend facility does not appear to work within Vista.

    I have the latest versions of FSUIPC and WideFS for FS2004 both registered and I am running FS2004 on a windows XP sp3 system.

    I have wideclient installed on another XP system and as a check put in the same keysends whick work fine.

    On the Vista machine (laptop) WideClient connects OK and launches 2 apps using runready.

    I then try to send the keysends to one of the runready programs but nothing happens.

    I have tried loading Notpad with runready as a test and nothing is recieved there either.

    I have noticed that ActionKeys=Yes is removed from the wideclient.ini files when wideclient runs or shuts down and is not in the new tech pdf file. I assume this no longer required.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  5. HI, I am trying to create a trim control from a 2 phase rotary connected to a hagstrom KE72 keyboard controller. I have assigned keys v and w in the hagstrom controller and that is working fine. i get vwvw etc turning clockwise and wvwv etc turn anti clocwise.

    In FSUIPC (Registered),

    In the [keys] section I have assigned the keys v and w to toggle virtual button flags j15,b8 and j15,b9 thus:

    84=86,8,1005,3848

    85=87,8,1005,3849

    then in the [buttons] section using the example from the advanced users document i have asigned the "buttons" to the trim up and down controls thus:

    74=CP(F+15,8)15,9,C65607,0

    75=CU(F+15,8)15,9,C65615,0

    However it does not work in FS

    Can you advise where i am going wrong and or show me the correct way to do this.

    regards
