[FS is too dark... (answered)]

 

Hello all, this is my first post and I have an unusual problem. I’m playing FSX for Steam on an Asus UX580GE laptop. The OS is Win 10 Professional, it has a i9-8950 HK processor, 16 GB of RAM, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and a Samsung, EVO 2TB SSD. I’ve only had the machine about six weeks. In the past couple of days, I have noticed the brightness level is down. Even in mid-day it’s too dark. Since I know of no gamma setting in the game, I checked all of the other settings and they are all as they were. This is the odd part; I changed the year (in the game) to 1976 and it fixed my problem. Thus far I’ve added Mega Scenery Earth, for the US states of Tennessee, Michigan, Florida and Hawaii. Plus, two countries, England and Switzerland. What am I missing? Thanks to all, Blair…
