Hello, I looked in that location and could not find "VID_231D&PID_0125". Found VID_231D&PID_011D, which is the "VKB Tiny Box". It is the device the joystick plugs into. That "Tiny Box" is then plugged into the computer.

Ok, so I googled how to change the registry key. Bit outside my envelope, but this is what I did: I opened regedit and went to this location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_231D&PID_0125 Then I selected the "OEMName" REG_SZ file, and could see in the Data field that there is a space in front of VKB. I removed that space, and exited Registry Editor. Then I restarted my computer. Upon restart, I opened GameController app in window, the space is still there in front of VKB. I started up P3D anyways, and the problem is still there. The lettered title has the missing joystick flag. Am I doing the regedit part correctly?

Hi John Yes, that is normal. That is my yoke. I always remove it when I don't use it since it takes up so much space on my desktop. CSV is attached to first post, as mentioned by Thomas.

Hi Thomas Yes. I copy past the "0= VKB-Sim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro" as is, then change the "0" to a "V". After starting sim, FSUIPC removes the space in front. I also tried removing the space myself, and FSUIPC still says joystick missing for the "V" line. The joystick works in sim, and I can assign buttons and axes to it, but it shows up as joystick "0". Hello all. As the title says, I can't assign a letter to my VKB Gunfighter joystick. The joystick is recognized by my computer, by P3D, and by FSUIPC. It is joystick 0, and I would like to give it the letter "V". But when I copy the joystick name line in the FSUIPC.ini file and rename to "V", next time I start up P3D the joystick name line with my assigned letter has the << MISSING JOYSTICK >> flag. I don't know if it is related, but the VKB Gunfighter name seems to have a space in front of it. All my other joystick devices I was able to assign a letter without a problem, and none of them have a blank space in front of them. Could this be causing the problem? I tried copying the name with and without a space without success. So I am a bit stuck here and would appreciate some guidance before I go assigning all the buttons. My copy of FSUIPC is registered.
