Hello.
I´m a longtime user of FSUIPC and really appreciate the functionality of this utility.
I have a support request regarding the Axis calibration/-slope function of FSUIPC v5 for P3D v4:
For the time being, I´m utilizing a very sophisticated Yoke ( Agronn B737 Yoke ) with a very realistic replication of control forces and especially range-of-travel.
I´ve got it calibrated almost perfectly with FSUIPC using a Slope for the Elevator Axis of -3 ( sensitive around the center with a flattening curve at higher deflections of the Yoke ).
Overall, I´m quite pleased with the Input/Output curve of the Elevator, for at least say 70% of Manual flight ( PMDG 747v3 ). From what I recall from my Full-Flight-Simulator Sessions on Lufthansa´s Level D 747-8 Simulator, the Flightcharacteristics regarding the Elevator match the real thing almost perfectly within the first 30% of Elevator-Deflection.
However, at higher Elevator-Deflections ( more than about 30% ) the curve ( Slope -3 ) becomes too flat for my liking.
At these deflections I´d like to have better/more Elevator-Authority.
How can I change the slope/curve at higher Elevator-Deflections to a more linear/flat Interpretation of the Elevator Input ( such as the flat default response curve with slope set to 0 ), instead of the increasingly flattening logarithmic curve when slope is set to -3?
The default flat curve ( slope "0" ) does actually not suit my requirements when operating within the first 30% of Elevator-Deflection ( which is about 70% of manual flight time ) due to lack of Elevator-Authority in this case.
So to sum it up: a slope of -3 is perfect within the first about 30% of Elevator-Deflection, beyond I´d prefer a flat linear line ( such as slope "0" ).
I have to admit, that I´ve got absolutely no clue of Things such as scripts / LUA / LINDA etc, so I´d be very happy if you could assist me in this topic.
One further Question: would you still recommend to add "Stick-Sensitivity-Mode=0" to the P3D.cfg when flying a 747 with a sophisticated Yoke with a realistic range of travel? What does this line actually alter in the Input/Output processing of the Joystick?
Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.
With best regards,
Toto
