Hi Holger (and Team)
I remember seeing some superb screenshots last year of an FSX Tongass Version. Any news on that project? Perhaps a few more appetizers?
Cheers,
Tobias

a fantastic outlook what we can expect of FSX Scnery Add-ons.

Hi Jon,
Thanks a lot for sharing those pictures with us.
There are for sure some impressive improvements over the FS9 default Vancouver, but Vancouver+ looks far more detailed. It proves once again what a wonderful job you all did.
Just imagine if we could combine FSX and Vanouver+...*wink* :)
Cheers,
Tobias

Can we see some pictures of the city itself? I'm pretty sure it doesn't come
up to the quality of Vancouver+, but it would be an interesting comparison none the less.
Thanks,
Tobias

Looks absolutly great! I have to try it out as soon as I can find the time for it. (tonight? )
Thanks,

It's a wonderful designed site. Congrats, you did great job. And you were pretty fast, too.
I also like the gallery the best. Great to see, how close to reality tongass actually is.
It's also good that we have a overview over the additional scenery that will (hopefully) get more and more every week.
One thing: What about a place where people could share their adventures in tongass? Perhaps that could attract people to explore different places than they already did.
Cheers,
Tobu

I can confirm that. Patch gives me at least 1/3 more Frames.
Excellent work!
Thanks,
Tobu
P.S.: Obviously great work on FPS. Holger, have you ever thought about joining the FSX devs?

Wow, that was a fast answer! Are you ever turning off you computer?
Thanks anyway,

Just a quick question:
When I move the traffic-slider to, let's say, 60%, does that affect the frequency of boat traffic? Or is the marine traffic independent to this slider?
Thanks for answering,
Tobu

Holger is right. When I buy from simmarket, I always pay the price without VAT because I'm from outside the EU (not ouside of Europe! :) ).

Hi Holger,
A community website! Exactly what this great product needs. I highly apprecitate the time and effort that will be put into this project.
This is what comes to my mind: :D
Cloudy Landings
Tongass Waters
Windy Landings
Tongass Challenge
Good ones from previous posters: Tongass Wings, Tongass Treeline, Tongass Float Station, Tongass Port Authority.

Hi all :)
Now that we all at least spend some with Tongass Fjords I think it would be nice to share each others "favorite places". If some folks do that, it will give us many ideas for future flights.
I must admit that I didn't spend too much time in Tongass until now. Four flights altogether. The place I like the most until now was the floatplane base "Steamboat Bay (WSB)". It's just west of PAKW. You start from PAKW and you're in for a very short but pleasant flight over some islands. The base is on the third island. I like the way it is placed "into" the island. It's kind of cosy cause it has so much shelter from the sourrounding mountains. Those mountains give your approach also that little extra. If you haven't visited it yet, go ahead. You won't regret it.
The first time I was there, I had a beaver with me. Problem was, I wasn't equipped with floats so I couldn't land nearby. Perhaps someone spots a nice little "strip" somewhere near. I didn't. Well, next time I came with floats and took a screenie.
Have fun!

Hi Bjørn
Any news on the new Beaver outfit? I'm really looking forward to it.
I mean, I don't want to push you or something like that. But ehhm, where can I download?

That was very informative. Thank you!
I like the fact that Microsoft (or the ACES Team) gives more attention to water textures. In my opinion, the see, lakes and rivers are one of the most important scenery objects. You see them a lot when you're up there in your plane and since I'm a float plane lover I'll enjoy the landings in the "new" water.
I'm also happy that autogen capacity has been improved. This is really important when you fly "low and slow" over large forests. A ground covered with more trees gives you much more the impression of actually beeing there. Can you say anything about the new trees or autogen in generally? Have you noticed any difference? And have you seen some animals in the forests? I only heard about african animals. Well, I guess we will soon see many FS-Animal-Addons.
Funny, now that we all tuned our sim and came to a point were we just can do flying without "optimizing" too much, a new version is on the way. Well, I really thought it's about time to spend again some time in CFG files and loose yourself in directory trees. :D
Thank you again for the report,
Tobias

Looking forward to fly this beauty. Tongass tours has choosen a wonderful design for its new beaver. I'm sure they will be able to expand their little company and soon fly a lot more tourists around tongass.
Thanks a lot,
Tobias

Thank you for you fast answer. It's completly understandable that you can't build a whole website for every product. I think it's in our all interest if you invest your time actually into the product itself.
If I had a little bit more time and wouldn't be so much involved into my family and my own business, I'd be glad to get a Tongass Site up and running.
Anyone besides me noticed that Tongass Fjords gets better day by day? Every time your start a flight there, it become more and more familiar and you get involved. You start to like and love all these little villages and you want to visit them again. You also realise how much time it will take you to explore to whole area. I think this scenery is a perfect example of long time motivation.
Happy Tongass hours to everyone,
Tobias

Well, from time to time I can see something between all these clouds up there and a lovely scenery and landscape appears.
I also enjoyed Misty and Vanouver+. A great thing about these two was, that both of them got their own community Website. If I'm not mistaken, vancouverlandings.com was even set up by FSAddon.
Do you have plans to do something similar for TF or do you let the community take care of this? The product is excellent, so I'm sure sooner or later a nice little Website where we can share our scenery and stuff will appear.
Some time ago I even found a website for TF but now I just can't find it anymore.
Thanks again for your big effort on this scenery.

Thanks Francois and Holger for your answers. I'm looking forward to the new screens. But VancouverX doesn't sound bad either. I saw some screen on Jon Patch's site. Looking sweet too!
Cheers,
Tobias
