  1. Hi

I have just installed PMDG 737NGX and FS2Crew

I am having the following issue.

I have done a few 4+ hour flights Heathrow to Larnaca.

All goes well until I start the descent phase.

When I start using my headset the sim freezes for about 2-3 seconds and runs for 2-3 seconds - this gets slightly better but unworkable.  I close the flight sim and restart from an autosave and no issues.

Here is the strange bit FSUIPC disappears from the add-on menu and the auto saves stop as soon as this starts.

I have checked all the sound drivers and USB drivers (USB headset) and they all seem up to date.

I had similar issues with sound in the PMDG 777 however when I changed the sound set in the 777 control panel it improved dramatically but did not take it away completely.

    P3D V3

Windows 10 - I strongly suspect is the culprit

FSUIPC latest version I think 'k'

I have all SDK's loaded and re-installed the P3D V3.2 SDK to be sure to be sure

    Re-intsalled P3D PMDG FS2Crew - FSUIPC

Is this the USB ports going to sleep  - I do not know how to check but the headset will work.  Sounds seem a little funny, eg the engine sound dims or fluctuates more than at the start of the flight.

There seems to be nothing strange in the FSUIPC log - currently trying another flight and will check log when it happens again.

I only post here due to FSUIPC dropping off - when this happens - hoping that somebody could point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

  2. Pete

Sorry I deleted and uninstalled everything.  Added a new SSD drive and installed everything onto it.  Works a treat now.. so don't know what caused the problem.

I have discovered that soon before this started to happen I installed one of my old UK2000 airport scenery and used an FSX version by mistake.  This created an entry in the registry that pointed FSX to the PSD v3 folder, I never had FSX on this pc - I really have no idea if that caused the problem but it is gone in any case...

Once again thanks for taking the time to answer my problems

  3. Hi

    Still stumped

I have uninstalled v3.1 and installed v3.2 - same errors.

    I have

    EZDok

    Orbx Global

    Orbx Vectors

    UK2000 Gatwick, Leeds and Cardiff

    ASN

    Virtual Avionics

I unloaded Ezdok - no change

    I uninstalled Orbx no

    I uninstalled UK2000 no change

    I uninstall ASN

I changed the dll.xml file no change

I deleted cfg files and rebuilt - no change

I have found that the FSUIPC does not appear in the menu unless the loader dll file is in the modules folder

I think it is a sim connect issue.

    I have P3D sim connect 3.2

and 4 versions of Microsoft installed including a Microsoft ESP ver 1.xxxx  I have tried different settings with these present and missing but no change

When the loader dll file is not in the modules folder no crashing but no FSUIPC

The airports are very hit and miss but does not like any UK airport default or otherwise.

Going to bed spent 8 hours plus today at this - head swimming it will be something simple I hope when I get home from work tomorrow.

    Thanks

    DC

  4. Pete

    Appreciate your help.

I double checked but FSUIPC is higher up the DLL file than ASN.

ASN is just a new install and I haven't had it running on these tests as it is on another pc.

I changed the name of the two dll files SIM1 and Visualfx to .old files and ran the p3d repair function, which created new files - no difference.

I have uninstalled and re-installed FSUIPC as this is the easy option.  I have noted that the crashes only happen when I select an airport in Europe.

I am reluctant to uninstall P3D as I have spent 3-4 weeks building up my software and systems on a new pc

I think the best option is to uninstall and re-install V3.2

Thanks again for your help it is appreciated.

  5. Hi

Pulling my hair out with this

If I load default aircraft and default airport - no issues

If I load default aircraft and any other airport - immediate crash

If I uninstall FSUIPC works fine

I get these two lines at end of log when it crashes

    35680 Hook Error: can't find .1617821344 in SIM1.dll

    35680 Hook Error: can't find .1617821344 in VISUALFX.dll

These two files are in the root P3d V3 folder albeit in lower case

    I am using

windows 10  says windows 8 in FSUIPC log

  7. Hi

    I am using

FS9.1 on main computer with Vista 32 Home Edition

    FSUIPC latest version 3.**

    Using Wideclient latest version

Using laptop with vista 32 home

    Running everything as administrator

Everything was working okay, I was carrying out flights and able to see them on FSC on the laptop.

I then decided to save some flights back to the PMDG folder on FS9 on main computer, this did not work. I tried the windows options window and the F drive (my FS9 folder on main computer) was not visible. I went to explorer and it was there and I entered the folder and browsed around no problems. i checked the database manager and the F drive was visible.

After much mucking around I foolishly removed FSC8.6 and reinstalled. I now cannot get the F drive visible in the database mamager so I cannot get anything to work. I can enter the drive in windows explorer. I can save files in notepad back to the F drive, it will just not appear in the database manager.

I have tried several uninstalls and re-installs, tried it with wide client running and not running. Opened and explored the F drive before starting tha manager. Checked and double checked network names and work groups etc. Everything seems to work except FSC.

Next stage is to remove 8.6 and install 8.5 and try that!!

    Any help appreciated.

  8. Hi

I use two screens from the same graphics card. The main screen I use for flight sim and I keep FSC on the second screen. If I move my mouse onto the FSC monitor it activates the FSC window without a click. This holds when I bring the mouse back onto the main screen or Flight Sim monitor. It can happen that I try and change something on the flight sim by clicking the mouse or scrolling the wheel but FSC changes. (not the worst problem in the world)

I drag my IVAP window onto my FSC monitor but I cannot get my mouse into the IVAP window again because as I move the mouse over FSC it activates the FSC window (no clicks) and hides the IVAP window.

I did notice on FSC 8.5 when I selected a flight plan from a list it jumped it straight onto the screen without double clicking or clicking ok - however this is fixed in 8.6 thanks for that.

Thanks for a great package - a little help if possible on the mouse over effect woud be great

    Thanks

    Davy C
