But, I still do not have a SimConnect log in my FSX modules folder. Now what am I doing wrong? Bob K.
Did you save the Simconnect.ini file in your "My Documents\Flight Simulator X files" folder?

Bob and Pete,
I'm sorry for interrupting, but didn't the SimConnect log show exactly what was going on when FSX crasched?

I too thought that SP1 was part of acceleration pack as well. I truly would hate to do an entire clean install.
I don't think it will come to that, but it is very suspicious that the SP1 Simconnect is missing, and since SP2/Acceleration is an increment on SP1 and it must be present for a correct installation, not only of SimConnect, but of FSX itself, it does strongly imply that this is where the problems originate.
I think it may be wise to uninstall Acceleration, delete the two later SimConnect folders in Windows WinSxS (not the base one which is okay), then re-install Acceleration. This would not disturb anything else you've added.
Hi Pete,
I haven't got any reference to a SP1 SimmConnect version in my FSUIPC4 Install.log:
.................................
INSTALLATION FOR FSX:
AppPath="H:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\"
Checking version of FSX.EXE:
... Version 10.0.61637.0 (Need at least 10.0.60905.0)
Checking compatibility with installed SimConnect:
Found SimConnect build 60905 (Original)
Found SimConnect build 61259 (Acc/SP2 Oct07)
Checking if there's already a version of FSUIPC4 installed in:
H:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.DLL
... Version 4.520 found.
.................................
I have no problem at all with FSX and FSUIPC!

Hi,
Change your fsx.cfg file.
Add (or change) the following item under the Main section:
HideInfoText=1
This will remove any message about zoom-levels and such.

Ruud.
I fully understand the above.
But will, as far as you know at this moment, the excisting FScene textures be compatible with FSX?
What above? I cannot see anything above this thread.

Thanks Pete

I've been using FSUIPC in FS for so many years now. It's an excellent utility when you use a yoke, throttle quadrant and pedal.
Today I assigned one lever on the throttle quadrant as trim axis. Previously I used flip button on the yoke to apply trim, but using one axis on the throttle quadrant is much easier :D
Thanks for your contribution to the FS community!
