[FSUIPC 4 not working]

hello, i installed fsx acceleration pack and now everything seems to be working. not sure how but im grateful nonetheless.

I have FSX installed from the CD, not the steam version. I am trying to install FSUIPC version 4 onto my laptop. the installer runs correctly and completes itself. I have Bought the version which includes all the features. I also have run it as an administrator. I also ran FSX first before installing the software. Once I've run FSX, the addon menu doesnt appear at all.

 my fsx.cfg file is located in this foler:"C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX".  this folder also contains the DLL file. I have said yes to the pop ups that come up when you start FSX for the second time after installing FSUIPC version 4 but still the addon menu doesnt show up.
