Changed on client to No on all these.Set visibility layer 100m from 500ft up to 6000ft again but, sorry, on client visibility is 100m from below ground up to 6000ft. Any more suggestions? Christer

Excuse me, but how can it be done without Wideview ? I want the view PC to show me weather at the aircrafts present position, so I have to use Wideview and Fsuipc, right ? Please educate me if there are other options.Tested with Weatherset and weatherset2 and both show that main pc have visibility layer from 500ft to 6000ft, so that is ok. I am not trying to hide any info, I just do not know what of all logs and setups in FS9 and utility programs that could help solve the problem. Sorry for the inconviniance. I do not think that many people are using the visibilitylayer to set bottom altitude and also sending it to a view pc to get a realistic ifr approach, so why should it not be a new bug? In my experiance there is always one more bug, no matter how old or well behaving a program is. I have added this qestion on Wideview forum to see if anyone have a solution there. Well, I am just guessing that it is FSUIPC as I see the differance in FSUIPC log that visiblity low celing is sent ok but recived with negative altitude. Whos to blame I do not know. Yes all is off. Now I get it. Yes everything is perfect on PC where I set the visibility layer. Set lower layer to 500 ft and it is sharp bottom where visibility goes from 100m at 501ft to unlimited at 499ft. I do set clouds with base same as visibility! Problem is if I set visibility to 1200 m and cloudbase to 250 ft I will see the ground before I get down to 250ft as the visibility is 1200m. I will see the ground when I get below 1200 m altitude and that is not realistic. Global weather. No just update with Wideview. It is then cleared by FS9 (?) before new weather is set.Maybe it is a question for Wideview as it is working ok on the PC where I set it. I do not know which program that reads, sends and recives visibility. I will post it there too if you think it will help me. Christer

Answering: "What has cloud got to do with it? You need to set a cloud layer if you want to break out of cloud. The visibility effects from cloud layers are not the same as those produced by the visibility layer. " The clouds in FS2004 is not compact enough. You can be above cloudceling but still see the ground below you. I want to have zero visibility inside cloud until below cloud celing. So I am setting lowest clouds AND visibility layers at same altitude. Problem is I can not send it to other PC. Christer

Sorry for lack of info - here are answers: 1. FS2004 upgraded to 9.1 2. Using FSUIPC and WidevieW on all PC 3. FSUIPC 3.73. Which settings do you need to know? 4. Set visibility in FlightSim via menu "user defined", "advanced wether" "visibility" page setting base to 250ft and top to 6000ft and visibility to min 100m. 5. What do you mean by "Is it being set that way on the computer on which you are setting it"? 6. It is sent to visiblity PC by Wideview. Is not using automatic update but manual update. 7. Pete I have set up a system with a main computer with visibility 100m from 500ft up to 6000ft that is sent to a viewcomputer displaying terrain. But visibility recived is 100m from -1496ft up to 6000ft. Seems like bottom altitude of visibility is always set to negative value so I can not get a break out of cloud on ILS. Bug as I see it, or?
