Fix:Reinstalling FSX Error 1772 & FATAL Error 1603 Nightmare.
I spent 4 hrs looking and searching trying to get this done as Microsoft
instructions says but no luck at all . So finely I got to the bottom of this
.problem and got it fix .
So here is how to do it .
First download this:
Microsoft - KB928080
save it on your desk top .
http://download.microsoft.com/download/928080.exe
Then:
This is what microsoft did not tel you :
Now ! Clean up Token Store :
SoftwareLicensing Its in :
C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Microsoft/SLDL
Delete this folder . !!!!!
Now to fix to the situation is to add local administrator (or whatever user
you are using who runs in Administrator context) into the Users group.
LOG OUT (this is not optional) and Log back in !!!
And then run the 928080 utility.
Now it will work. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Click on the link above, when you receive the File Download dialog
box, click Save.
2. When done double-click the MSKB928080.exe file that you have saved
to your hard disk.
3. When you are prompted to accept the license agreement, click Yes.
4. Extract the files to the following folder: C:MicrosoftKB928080
5. Run the Software Licensing System Reset Tool. To do this, click Start,
click Run, type in the run box: C:MicrosoftKB928080\resetsldl-All and
then click OK.
P.S :
on Your download, double click where saved, it will ask where you
extract,
leave that location. Click Start --> Run --> copy and paste the following in
quotes "C:MicrosoftKB928080\resetsldl -All" --> click OK, let the
computer work for a few seconds, try and install the game.
Now: At this point:
reboot your pc,
Then reinstalled FSX, then reactivated,
Its aggregious programmer error that should have been caught by
Microsoft .
but now i make other pepole happy.
copy this instructions and save it, u never know when u need it.

Pete's site has been updated apparently.
For SP1 you will need the updated version of FSUIPC.
NEW Full release of FSUIPC 4 (incorporating WideFS 7) for use with FSX May 16th 2007 (3 MB)

A fact of life is....
No mater how many sp will come out,it will always going to be a game
Of "chasing the technology" because its changes every day !
How knows ? maybe one day there will be a super computer that will
Run a super Trouble free flight Sims ,then we all going to be happy.
ulovely.
This game has potentially, but you really need a high spec machine to get good performance.

After the relese of sp1 & DX-10
You will enjoy fsx to the max .
To correct some of the chatter out there, Phil Taylor has been clear that FSX DX10 support will be in a separate release sometime after SP1.
Is the poor frame rate a killer issue? That's arguable and depends on how much you require in terms of smooth frame rates in a civilian flight sim. Some people may want to wait until tweaks have been established that boost the performance or until they invest in new hardware. Others may decide to put up with less-than-stellar performance to be able to enjoy the amazing content and plethora of rich experiences that Flight Simulator X offers. What is not arguable is that Flight Simulator X provides a quantity and quality of flight simulation capabilities that would be amazing in a product that costs twice the price.
FSX:Today and Tomorrow
Quote
Hi, Let me introduce myself. I am Phil Taylor and I am Senior PM for Graphics and Terrain in Aces Studio. I joined Aces during the end-game of FSX and am now involved in all the studio projects moving forward.
I am seeing a lot of threads and a lot of thrashing on this forum, and I thought I would try to address some of the discussions and draw a line in the sand. One big topic of discussion is performance (FPS) and DX10.
DX10 by itself isn’t a magic bullet for the real performance issues that become evident as you move the sliders to the right. It was a conscious design decision of the studio to load the sliders so that, on day one, no one can run the sim at full slider levels. We did that so the sim will still have life in it three years from now. For better or worse, that is our design center. It is what it is. It will be that way in FS11, and it was that way in FS9, so this conscious design decision should not come as a surprise.
Conclusion
In the long run, it’s all about fun. I believe everyone can find settings that are a blend of flyable and beautiful. Some of you can do that with existing hardware, some of you need to buy new hardware, some can do it with tweaks, some with all of the above. Regardless of the path you take, if you are having fun, we succeeded with the product.
What are the minimum system requirements?
These are the specs listed by Microsoft:
I Find it a bit wrong.
- Windows XP SP2 with 256 Mb RAM
- Windows Vista with 512 Mb RAM
- 1.0 GHz Processor
- DirectX 9.0c compliant Video Card with 32Mb RAM
- 15 Gb Hard Drive Space
- DVD Drive
What are the recommended system requirements?
- Windows XP SP2 with 1024 Mb RAM
- Windows Vista with 1024 Mb RAM
- 2.0 GHz+ Processor
- DirectX 9.0c compliant Video Card with 256Mb RAM
- 15 Gb Hard Drive Space
- DVD Drive
What is the absolute best system to run FSX?
The simple answer to this one is to buy the fastest system you can afford at the time. Focus specifically on the CPU speed, as much fast DDR memory as you can afford and the best video card as well. For a good roundup on what video cards, CPUs and memory are the best.
Ideally, a good FSX system will have at least a 3Ghz dual core processor, at least 2Gb DDr2 fast memory and a Radeon X1950 or Nvidia 8800 series card or better.
IF YOUR FSX and frame rates are poor ?
1)This could be for a number of reasons. It could be that you are simply running it on a system that is not fast enough to run the software
2)because some user has everything (detail, graphic, traffic and scenery-wise) turned up to maximum !
Not even the fastest system available right now can probably run FSX with all options maxed out.
found out that it is possible to get good frame rates if you are willing to turn down, or turn off some items that aren't as important as others.
3)Another important factor is how well your hard drive is performing?
If you have a drive that is full of unorganized files, it will take FSX longer to find those files on your drive when it needs to load them, causing a drop in performance, and overall frame rates. If the files and organised well on the drive, FSX can find them quickly, load them into memory and ultimately deliver better sim performance. To organise your files on the hard disk you need a defragmentation software program.
Additionally, there is a good tweaking article compiled by Greg Germanowski on how you can improve FSX performance. You can find that article at:
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this document.

If u have problems installing & uninstall fsx ?
Read this Microsoft Tech article and follow instructions :

The future of flight simulation lies within Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
FSX is BY FAR the best version ever. The amount of details in the sim is unreal this time. after sp1 & dx-10 it will be the best flight sim ever !
only in the upcoming month we will really know the answer !
now what is your spects for running fsx ?
