As a private pilot and passionate fan of simulations (flight, rockets, space, racing), I’m currently studying UXD and working on my first big university project: a concept for an interactive mobile radio‑communications training tool with possible simulator integration in the future
I’m looking for experienced simulation and flight pros like you to test the prototype and evaluate its real‑world usefulness via a short survey. Your feedback is required for my final report and will show how valuable this idea really is.

About the concept:
This tool lets you train radio communications not just theoretically, but in realistic, self‑directed scenarios: you’ll be presented with typical situations—e.g. traffic patterns, departures, or emergencies—see your position on a map, track your instruments and other key parameters, and talk to tower/other aircraft as if you were really in the cockpit. The tower/others will respond to your transmissions, and you’ll receive a score and feedback at the end. It would not require a session with others, but could be done on your own and spontaneous.
There are also theory modules that explain and contextualize everything.
This way, alongside your practical training, you can become more confident in radio communications—independently, at your own pace, and affordably.
In the future, it could even be made compatible with popular flight‑simulators.
