  1. UPDATE: Hey Pete... I figured out what the issue was. I just recently installed some payware on my machine that I had. It came with an older version of FSUIPC. I deleted that one and put the new 3.7.5 in and it worked fine.
  2. Hey guys (And Pete as usual), Need some help here with an issue I've never encountered. Yesterday evening, I went into the Sim, setup a flight and was off like usual. However, once in the air (PSS 757) I noticed my AP didn't work. I switched over to PMDG to see if maybe it was a glitch, and the gauges didn't work on that. I did numerous things until I went to PMDGs website and found a few posts where they directed the poster here for help. From what I gathered, PMDG seems to think that this issue is caused when FSUIPC believes the software is pirated. Well, that certainly is not the case here... and I have the long list of charges against my credit card for validation  For Pete (Or anyone else who can help) - I did what they said on PMDGs site, and deleted my FSUIPC key. When I did that and just had the unregistered version, all worked well. The moment I registered FSUIPC, everything went out. What does this sound like to you Pete? Is my key bad? A bad file? When I register it, all appears to be well within FSUIPC... so I'm kind've stumped. Appreciate the help everybody! -Chase
  3. Hey guys (and Pete!), Seem to be having an odd issue here that I can't seem to figure out. Basically, what seems to happen is this: When I login to VATSIM, I can either see people or I can't. If I can not, what I end up doing is closing SB3 all together, and re-launching it. 99% of the time that will fix the issue. The annoying part is this... if I'm in an area where there is no traffic, I wont know if it is working correctly or not unless I get to my destination and see (or don't see) any traffic. Another odd issue that directly ties into this is that regardless of whether or not I can see the traffic, if I open up FSnav (multiplayer) or look at my TCAS, I can see the traffic there, but not visually in front of me. Pete, if you have any information regarding this, that would be great! (By the way, I love WideFS - haha) Have plenty of the folders shared on the network and all seems to be going well with WideFS except that one issue. All help is greatly appreciated! -Chase (Sim2Flight)
  4. Pete, thanks for the quick reply! Here is the setup, and hardware that I intend on using: Main Computer (Flight Simulator 2004/FSnav): Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (Stock Speeds) Freezer Pro 7 HSF (Stock thermal compound) eVGA 680i NF63 mobo (Stock thermal compounds) 2GB DDR2-800 HyperX RAM (OCed) eVGA 8800GTS 320mb Antec 650WPS Antec 900 gaming case (All fans high) Sound Blaster Audigy SE (Free, LOL!) WD 500GB Harddrive 7200RPM Windows XP Pro Slave Computer (ActiveSky/SB3): Intel P4 w/ HT 3GB DDR2-800 X800Pro PCIe 256mb 80GB HDD Onboard Sound Standard motherboard Another question for you Pete, is there a chance that the older computer (Slave) could become "bogged down" by ActiveSky/SB3 and actually give less frames on the main computer, regardless of how fast the new computer is? (Hopefully you understand what I'm asking, lol) Older computer begins to lose FPS ---> Newer computer performs only as good as the slave?
  5. Pretty simple question, but I couldn't seem to find my answer anywhere before I purchase. WideFS, from what I see you can network two computers together and use multiple displays to run programs. However, here is my question: If you use WideFS to run ActiveSky/SB3 on a seperate computer, and on the main computer, you use Flight Simulator, is the computer running Flight Simulator going to receive better frames because the other machine is running the programs? Or does it simply use the Flight Simulators resources. Ultimately, I'm looking for a "frame saver", but I wasn't sure if this program would use the other computers resources to save them up on the main computer. Appreciate the help all! -Chase
