    Hello

     

    Not a big deal but I just noticed a change in the behaviour of FSUIPC (upgrade to last version did not changes anything): while loading my PMDG 747, FSUIPC remembers the profile for the axis but not for key presses and buttons.... I am under FSX SP2 - windows 7 x64 (FSUIPC and WideFS registered).... My configuration ( from my home page at www.virtualskies.webs.com)

    Another persistent issue (I suspect I already posted on that in the past): if i use toe brakes - even slightly to ease a turn while taxiing for instance - after releasing the toe brake and even adding thrust, the aircraft finally come to a complete stop until I toggle the parking brakes... 

     

    Another strange thing, possibly not related to FSUIPC: though all FSUIPC commands have been checked and ALL FSX commands suppressed (both normal and slew), it happens that the APU starts spontaneously (click click) and even trigger the APU feed.... Not a big deal neither but spoils my fuel computations....

     

    Another: impossible to correct the drift on the right while taxiing...rudder calibration OK)

     

    And finally: what is "Excluden_set" on the axis page 3? Could not find references in the docs... (but perhaps I am shortsighted..)

    SOMETHING NEW FROM LAST NIGHT: I did not use my machine for almost a couple of weeks, and then....

     

    IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE WIDESERVER CONNECTING WITH ITS CLIENTS.....  Checkked firewall, client ini files simconnect cfg , router etc ... nothing unusual. except that the indication wideserver waiting for client takes a longer time to appear... it seems even to blink once but too quick to see any other message or indication. The other issues above are not important in comparison....

    Sorry for reacting late Pete,

    Thanks for your kind assistance. I finally reinstalled the SAITEK drivers, then back to FSX calibration process and progressively replaced the axis/calibration useful to me from FSX to FSUIPC (using profiles this time). Seems to work.

    Thus, I am back to my initial search (which lead me to mess the whome thing after a sequence of badly undertood actions from my part...): any action on any of the toe brakes (even slight) always end up in a complete stop of the aircraft (whatever action on throttles). The only way to resume taxiing is to set up the parking brakes, then realease them and push the throttle... until any action is required to use toe brakes (then same thing again...). I have been living with this for years but I developed a taste for precision parking and taxiing, and this is very ennoying. I do not believe it's a FSUIPC issue, but you might have come accross this issue.

    Thanks for your very king interest. Actually, it a real mess... I am following your advice and generated a new ini file (I by-pass FSX controls, all FSX controls deleted).

    I am starting with a default 747

    One thing is strange: while assigning and calibrating the axis for throttle 1 and 2 (those which are on the quadrant attached to the pro flght yoke (kind of PS2 connector) the range displayed is something like 0 - 16000 instead of the expected -16000 - +16000 (as for throttle 3 and 4 on the second

    quadrant (with USB connector this one). As a result I have a binary response: iddle or full throttle for these 2 engines 1 and 2 (while the response is progressive in the case of 3 and 4... as expected).

    But this .... although my ini file reads:

    Throttle1=-16380,-512,512,16380/32

    Throttle2=-16380,-512,512,16380/32

    Throttle3=-16380,-512,512,16380/32

    Throttle4=-16380,-512,512,16380/32

    I do not dare going further....

    I've been using FSUIPC for ages and always ended up having things proprely setup. This time, I am lost: after an attempt to apply a solution to have the toe brakes releasing the parking brakes (PMDG 747), I ended up jamming the whole configuration. I have a SAITEK proflight Yoke and quadrant , pedal plus an additional quadrant. Finally:

    1. I recalibrated all axes in FSX
    2. Removed the joystick assignmpent for the throttle (and flaps and spoilers) - Leaving the joysticks active (it is worst if I try to skip all joysticks...)
    3. Calibrated each throttle and flaps and spoilers through FSUIPC
    4. Mapped all throttle to throttel 1 and.....

    Throttle lever 4 has its "own life" reactig much more rapidly that the others.... impossible to correct. Below is my FSUIPC. ini, just in case (there are things that appear strange but....):

    No windows crash, and only one big vista back-up (but I installed so many things in the meantime....). Probably it was this key which I removed by mistake (too quick to click). If I could now which key... When I move FS2004 to Vista and left my old PC to my wife, though the soft was uninstalled (she is not really a sim pilot....) possibly the key might be somewhere in the registry (?) and could be replicated and put in the vista registry... this is just science-fiction to me?!

    I have tested all the rest: file permissions, antivirus, firewall, antispyware etc.... I keep on looking

    Thanks anyway... and I can wait few weeks, I will simply go back to FSX and FSUIPC 4 waiting for Squawk Box 4 to come out and fly offline.

    It was a copy and paste of the log as I have it (the server told me that the extension is not authorized, so I could not attach the file). I did exactly as you said (I have no idea what the log should look like). I'll send you everything (log, key and proof of purchase from simmarket) by mail today - its GMT+2 here and I have to rush to the office first

    I am in a windowed environment. There has been no windows re-install or registry rollup... though I have been recently cleaning some keys to settle issues with the SAITEK: doing so I removed one key by mistake but in a section of the registry where it is unlikely to have something to do with FSUIPC. Note that WideFS has also been working before (no long ago). I have reinstalled the v. 3.75 yesterday but this should not change anythning (?).

    1. The key or the name or the email are not as originally used for registration. Open up the FSUIPC.KEY file (it is an ordinary text file) and check ALL THREE parts. They need to be as they were, not necessarily as they are now, as for instance if you've changed emails.

    This is all OK

    2. The system date is set earlier than the registration date.

    Not the case

    3. The signature doesn't check. Right click on the FSUIPC.DLL and check the digital signature. There are notes about this in the documentation.

    The signature is OK

    For the rest, I copy the log.

    Hi Pete

    I am a registered user of both FSUIPC 3 and 4. For different reasons I am back, for a while, on FS2004 and I realized that something was wrong in FSUIPC 3.75. FS launches normally and plays normally until I call FSUIPC. Then, the "splash" screen of FSUIPC pops up,everything is still fine. But it shows an unregistered version ( I checked FSUIPC.key and the key is the one I got from simmarket in 2005). I try to enter my key and then.... everything freezes. I am under Vista 64 bits and I already tried to run as administartor, putting privilege all around, in compatbility for XP or not.... nothing changes. What is strange is that it was working fine few months ago.. and I cannot figure out what I did in the meantime. Anyclue? Thanks in anticipation
