  4. PMDG's new B747-400 and FSUIPC5

    Sorry to say - but regardless whether I load P3D V4 with the PMDG 747 pre-selected or with one of the default aircraft, the 747 never loads when FSUIPC is activated.

    It worked the first time I had installed the PMDG 747 and where FSUIPC allready had been installed (version 5.100), but not subsequently.

    I´m sorry, cause I always has used FSUIPC and seen it as an optional service pack for the various FS versions and been very happy about it.

    But the use in P3D V4 for me is mainly not having to manually selecting the different control schemes, which I´m left to now, rendering my investment in the registered FSUIPC version useless until further.

     

    I´m not pointing at anyone, but just hoping that either You, PMDG or LM (or all of You in coorperation) will find the culprit.

     

    I´m on Windows 7 64bit Home edition

    I have FSX SP2, P3D V3 and P3D V4 installed - all (except right now V4) with FSUIPC installed .

    I have the PMDG 747-400 installed in both P3D V3 and V4.

     

    Modules loaded (and also tested de-activated) are:

    PMDG_Interface.dll

    RAASPRO.dll

    as_connect_64.dll

    I also use UT Live, which is started via the EXE.xml and add-on.xml

    So....

    Where do we stand now ?

    Is Pete or PMDG looking further into it, or is it something for LM to resolve. Feedback seems to have seized in both forums.

    Fact is that I cannot use FSUIPC right now.

    I mainly use FSUIPC for multiple controller setups, so I don´t have to import different settings when I shift from 2 to 4 engined aircraft or from Aircraft to Helicopters.

  7. 4.316 interim "forgets" button assignments

    As a follow up on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=72513

    I have now replaced 4.312 with 4.316.

    And the problem persist!!

    Buttons assigned through FSUIPC 4.316 doesnt get saved right.

    I can use my old FSUIPC4.ini file, where I setup all my controls through FSUIPS 4.30, but as soon as I unassign - reassign buttons with 4.316 they doésn´t seem to get saved correctly.

    Here is first an extract of my original FSUIPC4.ini buttons section:

    Hi Peter

    Using the 4.312 interim version, I found that trim response has become very slow.

    After assigning a button, the setting isn´t saved after next FSX startup

    I use the 2 way toggle switches on my Ch-Throttle quadrant for up/don trim and flaps up/down.

    I found that trim has become very slow and when I try to assign my flaps up/down to a toggle switch, it isn´t saved (wont work again after next FSX startup)

    Es sollte kein geheimnis sein das ich als beta tester bei der entwicklung der Twin Otter "mitgemischt" habe. Deswegen kann man wohl behaupten das ich nicht objective sei.

    Trotzdem finde ich das misweisende eintraege in einem review schnell korrigiert werden sollte. Wie viel haben wohl den review in der zwischenzeit gelesen und vieleicht einen falschen eindruck bekommen ?

    Allgemein ist der review ganz gut aber als leser habe ich wohl den recht auf falsche angaben hinzuweisen - oder ?

    Es war und ist nicht meine meinung den review "scheiben weise" zu kritisieren, den da ist nicht viel weiteres zu kritisieren.

    Die flugeigenshaften zu beurteilen wird wohl immer subjective sein. Ich weiss nicht wie viele stunden Du als echter pilot den Twin Otter "einmotorig" geflogen hat. Ich muss nur darauf hinweisen das mehrere real-world Twin Otter piloten das virtuelle flugzeug getstet habe . Einer davon hat ueber 15 jahre Twin Otter geflogen, und das verhalten bei einmotorigen betrieb begutachtet.

    Ich moechte entshuldigen when Du denn eindruck bekommen hast das ich den review teil fuehr teil auseinander legen will, dass ist nich der fall. Wie ich oben gesagt habe, finde ich den review ganz gut.

    Persoenlich koennte ich andere punkte an der Twin Otter finden die nicht so gut gelungen ist.

    Es ist fast eine woche seit ich geposted habe, aber nichts hat sich geaendert in den review.

    Der author meint das einmotoriges verhalten vereinfacht ist. Dies soll nicht der fall sein.

    Das flugverhalten is von mehreren Twin Otter piloten begutachtet geworden, auch das verhalten wenn einer der moteren ausgefallen ist.

    Im review der Aerosoft Twin Otter X bekommt man den eindruck das der reviewer glaubt das der Twin Otter von einer FS9 FS2004) version "uebernommen" wurde.

    Dies ist falsch - der Twin Otter X von Aerosoft is ausschlieslich fuehr FSX entwickelt geworden und halt sich straff an die FSX SDK.

    Man hat sogar die moeglichkeit die instrumente im model einzubinden ausgenutzt um eine maximale bildwiederhohlgeschwindigkeit zu erziehlen.

    On the FADEC:

    The two switches with guards labeled: Off/Idle/Flight moves independently.

    But

    The two switches labeled: ON / OFF work together and are NOT independent.

    I just checked the actual .xml code for those switches and they ARE one and same switch and WILL move together, except if one of You have newer gauges than I for the EC-135 !!
