  1. only changed a couple of things, but as it continued to crash, did not think to check log file after every change.... Updated Display driver, freed up some more virtual memory, closed antivirus program and skype, and changed some display driver settings, but returned them all to original values as they made no noticeable difference. Also did another re-install of RFP.... can't say what caused the change, but will find out and let you know. Appears at this stage to be one of first 2... Might be a couple of days, though.... work commitments! Yes, it is freeware, and I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", but at this stage it is the only program that has classic (analog) gauges in a classic 747 airframe. While you CAN purchase it, I believe the retail program is the same, and if this dosn't work on my system (1.8Mhz & 1.5GB memory, Intel 945GM with 128MB display), I doubt the purchased one would. 2. Pete - maybe some progress... can you please have a look at attached and advise if it sheds any light on problem? Thanks Barney BFSUIPC.zip
  3. ok - thanks for you time and avice. Will just keep trying... Have re-installed RFP V2 several times, so do not think it's a corrupt gauge. graphics conflict? maybe, but have checked compatibility list (OK), updated driver, and tried all settings.... same result each time. Interestingly can run all aspects of FSX with no problems - even to point of (very) limited (ie only partial, but does load) RFP. If I find solution, will let you know. Thanks again Barney

  6. The plot thickens.... I have purchased registered version, but still cannot access anythink.. Modules does not appear anywhere...
  7. "Incidentally, I've had a look through the AVSIM libraries for anything resembling this as a freeware item for FS2004 and I can't find it (else I might have tried it for you). Googling only turns it up as FS2002 payware." Second item on page of link previously sent... Barney
  8. I need to get registered version to access logging options?
  9. Version 2 (now freeware) for FS2004 http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets211.htm VMAX Flight Systems, and no, appears no support since going freeware. Program IS available (supposedly against developers wishes) commercially, but would still be without support. If you don't think it is a FSUIPC problem, thanks anyway - i'll start digging deeper. HAS to be a reason... Barney
  10. Sorry - RFP = Ready For Pushback VMAX Classic 747-200 re joyview - - typo... "provided" by you on one of your previous posts....
  11. HI, Pete, Having extensively browsed this forum, I see a couple of similar problems have occured, but have not been able to find a solution. Just hope that you may have some new info.. New installation of FS2004 (9.1), followed by installation of FSUIPC 3.8. Prior to FSUIPC installation "Cannot link to FSUIPC...." displayed when loadinf RFP. After loading FSUIPC, FS closes when "OK" after selecting RFP. If any other aircraft loaded first, and THEN RFP selected, then FS locks up. NO other add-ons loaded, same results with or without joystick software loaded (interestingly, your "joyview" program reports NO joystick loaded when Logitech Force3DPro IS loaded). FUSIPC log below, but looks normal up to last line showing RFP load... ANY advice/suggestions/info will be greatly appreciated.
