  1. Okay guys, I love the looks of the helo but the switches are not readable in the VC. I've done steps from other posts trying to get the CIVILIAN AIRCRANE LOGGING HOOK TO WORK. I do the following: Cargo release-shear hook, Hoist-Pilot, Cable shear switch-Up to release, J key-lower, K key-Raise hook. But the hook doesn't move. Nemeth has really disappointed me lately. How do I make it work?

    The same with me!

  2. It seems to be that the Nemeth Designs forum is dead for support. We are on our own now.

Many people have questions here and there is no feedback from Nemeth team what so ever. If you guys stop with producing helicopter for Flight Simulator then let us know. We all enjoy to fly your helicopters and are willing to do further. But if this is the end of Nemeth then let us know. Please give at least a sign of life :!:

  3. Start fsx, select the AS332, choose airport and start flight.

    • Now press Shift+1 and connect GPU plugs (both).
Make sure your collective is fully down.
Click on autostart (once) and wait for the engines to start.
Once the engines are started, push yellow lever to full forward position.
      unplug the GPU connectors.
Wait for the rotor to get to 100% and start your flight

If you follow this procedure then it should work.

  4. can anyone tell me what key's to use for collective up & down, also for the throttle so I can actually fly it instead of looking at it! What a hassel for the price you pay! The real info on how to flight it would be handy!

    For collective

    Collective fully up: F4

    Collective slightly up: F3

    Collective Slightly down: F2

    Collective fully down: F1

    For Throttle

Push the 2 yellow levers to the most forward position.

    And about you hassel:

First learn to fly a helicopter in the FSX missions, after that start flying bigger and more complicated birds. Same for Fixed wing. Don't start to fly with a B747 as long as you don't know how to get a Cessna back on the ground.

  5. MANY THANKS!!!!!!!!! I have now ticked the 'show all options box' They are now all shown! What threw me is the MD500 versions are shown whithout ticking the box as that was a NEMITH download, I kind of assumed the same would apply with the EC120.

But again, many thanks for your time and resolution to my problem! Now, I must put some fuel into one of my 'now' many options and go for a spin!

    Many thanks again,

    Nigel.[/color]

    Your welcome!

    Enjoy your flight!!!

  6. Hello,

I have downloaded the above, which I am currently reviewing for Flightsim.com, once installed, ( No issues) I noticed that in the FSX Aircraft Menue, only ONEmodel is shown?! I understand there should be at least two other options to select form, ie a FLOAT and POLICE version??

I have folowed the instructions to the letter, but only the ONE model is showing. I would be very appreciative if you offer some assistance??

    Best,

    Nigel.

    Hi Nigel,

Have you check the box in the aircraft menu? If not, please check the box and many other aircraft come forward. If it is checked then open the following; FSX main dir\simobjects\rotorcraft. There you should find the following maps:ND_EC120_base, ND_EC120_hg, ND_EC120_pat, ND_EC120_police.

In these map you should find the aircraft.cfg, ec120b.air, maps called; model, texture, panel, sound. If these items are in all the above showned maps then there is something strang. Maybe you could reinstall the ec120.

First look if the box is checked.

    I hope it helps!

  7. hi every one im new to payware this is my first,

when i open the aircraft on fsx the puma is on ground with engine running rotors turning fairly slowly the 2 main display screens in cockpit are not on

any ideas how i get the rotor revs up yellow levers have been put forward, and increase on throttle does nothing although you can see the collective raise and lower,

any help please at all would be great

    thanks

ps ihave fsx deluxe gold with acc pack loaded

I have this problem right now. starting with SHFT + 1 for main display screens -

the yellow levers forward etcc... engines does not start.

NOW I'm asking wy there is no precise instructions how to start engines ?

Anyone can give me a precise tutorial how to start engines ?

    Many thanks in advance

Start fsx, select the AS332, choose airport and start flight.

Now press Shift+1 and connect GPU plugs (both).

Make sure your collective is fully down.

Click on autostart (once) and wait for the engines to start.

Once the engines are started, push yellow lever to full forward possition.

    unplug the gpu connectors.

Wait for the rotor to get to 100% and start your flight

This is how it should react. If not there is something wrong with your settings(sim/computer/hardware)

  8. Ok so I finally did get a chance to try out not going full throttle in order to not overtorque the transmission. Seems like it worked okay, I didn't experience any problems. I also didn't go past max allowed speed. I think it used to play a factor in previous crashes. I don't know how going past maximum allowed speed would cause engine rpm loss, maybe a flight engineer around this forum could help? =) Since i've watched my speed, nothing. So hopefully this was it. I'll keep an eye out for possible causes of this problem and let y'all know if I find anything.

    Thanks for the help

I do maintanance on helicopters so I can give you that answer. When you are flying an aircraft at overspeed, will overtress the airframe. The advancing rotorblade could go through the soundbarrier which could cause a stall at the rotorblade tip(as a result of shockwaves at the tip). A rotor RPM drop will probably not been caused by the overspeed. The drag op the advancing blad has to be much higher to drop RPM. It is however possible that your engines will die because the airflow through the engine inlet will behave the opposit way as it behaves in transsonic flight. In the AS332 in FSX you will see that when you are flying overspeed, the engines will die. Now of course the RPM will drop to almost 0,if you do not lower collective and start autorotation. You will reach overspeed(in real life) at 150kts. In FS the engines will die at aproximatly 165 knots. I didn't know what happend to me when I started diving from cliffs with the beauty. All of a sudden the engines died and the hydraulics warning licht popped up at the central warning display. Till I found out that it only occurs at overspeed. So do not fly overspeed and don't overtorque the system, then your AS332 will stay alive.

    I hope it helps.

  9. Overtorque the transmission system? mmmh I didn't think about that. I can't remember if I was keeping the collective open all the way or not. I'll have to give it a shot. I'll let you know how that turns out.

I also have other Nemeth helos, do they also model the overtorqued transmission system, or is it something specific to the AS332? I do believe I flew the CH53 as well as the MD500 with collective fully opened for more that 5-10min without experiencing complete rpm loss...

Oh well, let me give all this a shot and get back to the forum later.

    Thanks!

As far as I know it is only included in the AS332. I haven't seen noticed it in the BO-105 and EC-135 either. I guess ND is starting to get more and more realisme it there helicopters.

  10. Nevermind, found my solution, i had to push both yellow levers forward on overhead panel.

NEW PROBLEM: It seems I'm not the only one. My install of the Super Puma is patched with both patches (one is supposed to fix the loss of rpm bug)found on this website. 5 to 10 minutes into my flight I encounter massive loss of rpm and controls. I tried to perform an autorotation but I come crashing down. Has anyone found a fix for this?

This is what I think is the problem, don't nail me if i'm wrong:

While flying look at you PFD(Primary Flight Display) and I guess in you situation you'll see "LMT' in the left uppen corner. This mean you overtorque the tranmission system. Lower collective.

    Hope it helps..........
