    I don't  realy understand where the problem is coming from....

    Can someone help ?

    Thank you !

  2. Hello Peter,

    Thank you for your reply !

    Sorry for the miss information. In fact I send simConnect METAR format to FSX through FSUIPC.What I'd like to do is to set the departure wheather and adjust the arrival weather about 20 mn before landing. For example, I take off from Nice (LFMN in France) to Bastia (LFKB in France) with a visibility over 10 Km and a ceiling at 8000 ft. 20 minutes before landing I send a METAR of LFKB with a different visibility and ceiling, but it does not seems to work. I the past I though the weather around the plane was built upon weather of vicinity airports, so that I though that perhaps I had to specify METAR of all nearest airport. From what I understand, this is not the case.

    For multi layer, it's OK. I will specify several based (and/or several clouds type) and I should observe several layers.

    Once again, many thank for your help Peter !

    Best regards.

    Paul-Henri

  3. Hello,

    I have two questions about weather setting through FSUIPC:

    1) Currently I use the METAR description to modify the weather on an airport. It works fine. However, when the plane is airborned, And that I want to change the weather, I specify for exemple the destination airport in my METAR, but it does not seems to change anything. Should I be on ground for changing weather ? When in flight, should I modify METAR of all nearest airports ?

    2) In a METAR it is not possible to specify the depth of a cloud layer, but only the base of the cloud. What should I do to specify 2 clouds layers (or more) with the depth of each one ?

    Thank you for your help !

  4. Hello,

    I want to use FSUIPC to set/modify weather in FSX. For that, I prepare the following C buffer:

    sprintf(TxBuffer, "LFMN 260608Z 27015KT 7SM +TSRA BKN055CB 30/17 A2974");

    FSUIPC_Write(0xC800, strlen(TxBuffer)+1, (void *)TxBuffer, &dwResult);

    FSUIPC_Process(&dwResult);

    In a previous post I asked if I did a mistake with such a buffer and Peter answered that I was probably doing a mistake regarding the size of the buffer I wrote, so that I add corrected my code to replace:

    FSUIPC_Write(0xC800, strlen(TxBuffer), (void *)TxBuffer, &dwResult);

    by:

    FSUIPC_Write(0xC800, strlen(TxBuffer)+1, (void *)TxBuffer, &dwResult);

    However, this seems not to be enough to change the weather...

    I have enabled the logging in FSUIPC menu interface for weather. I see that there is a lot message recorded in the console.

    Questions:

    1) I'm taking off from LFMN. Should date and hour of the METAR be adjust to the current date and time of the FSX flight ?

    2) Do logged weather messages erase/cancel the METAR I try to write ?

    3) Is there some options I should select in the FSUIPC dialog box to enable me to write weather ?

    Any other suggestion is welcome !!

    Thank you.

  5. Hello,I want to use FSUIPC to write some METAR for fixed airports in FSX. I have read the FSUIPC4 Offsets Status.pdf document which gives some information about the area where to copy data, but i'm not sure to fully understand... Suppose I want to send the following METAR: KSEA 030405Z 27007KT 15SM SKC 17/13 A2992. I copy this string is into a string variables named Metar[]. Should I use the following API at the following 0xB000 offset ?

    FSUIPC_Write(0xB000, 42, (void *)Metar, &dwResult);

    FSUIPC_Process(&dwResult); Or am I completly wrong ?

  6. Hello,

    I'm using a registered version of FSUIPC and WideFS. To connect the physical IO of our simulateur, i have an adapted board which has a Ethernet 100 interface. I wonder if it would be possible to directly connect this board to WideFS through Ethernet interface without using SIOC ? For this I probably need the client protocol to connect WideFS server, but I don't know if this is something that can be given. Can someone answer me ?

    Regards.

    Paul-Henri
