  1. I have FSC 8.6 and FSCDatabase Manager86. I was going through a friends files and he kindly allowed me to copy his user waypoints file. The instructions as he showed me, were to open the Database Manager and select the option to merge the UserWaypoints. This option appears to have been removed from the version of database manager I have.

I've noticed that the UserWP file in the FSC database is now a .txt file and no longer a .udp file.

Has the option to merge user waypoints been removed? Or is there another way to merge the files.

    Many thanks

    Wayne

  2. Hi Volker......

Not sure if this helps, but I saw this post because I was looking for information on this very subject.

For some reason these "restricted" airspace areas are in Flight Simulator, but do not display in FS Commander, which was why I was looking for information.

I have FS9, FSuipc 3.93, FSCD DB Manager 86 and FSCommander 8.6. All running on a Vista 32 system.

If I plan a flight using FSC, and I load this into FS9 and check the FS9 map, I can see the restricted, danger control zones on FS9 - although there is no way to work out what heights the restrictions apply to. They are very noticeable because they are not in FSC.

Although FSC is a superb program and I would not use another while flying, I have taken to using another program called Plan G (freeware from TA Software) just to check on restricted and danger areas. The information is defnately out there, because a "mouse over" on one of the danger areas in this program (such as D201 off the coast of Wales) shows it as "Aberporth Danger SFC+" Other areas show their own names and the heights they operate at.

Not sure where or how TA Software got their information for the Plan G database, but it covers the globe. Quite surprising to find that an airport you have been flying into / out of for the past 3 months on FS9 is surrounded by military restricted airspace. Might be worthwhile taking a look there?
