Pete,
I e-mailed him the information and got this e-mail in return...
If you can hear the trap/launch sounds, but the de-/acceleration is failing, two things can be wrong:
1.The file SpeedControl.dll in the \Gauges\COP3\ folder wasn't authorised when FSX asked for it.
(or the panel.cfg definition is wrong, but I doubt that since the sounds are played OK)
2. FSUIPC (or the SimConnect interface of FSX it uses) isn't working correctly.
But since you can open FSUIPC from the FSX menu, that's not likely either.
Unfortunately, quite some FSX users had problems with FSUIPC and SimConnect, mostly due to virus scanners or firewall settings (SImConnect communicates with the FSX core program via TCP-IP, so firewalls might block that).
There are a few threads on Peter Dowson's FSUIPC forum about that.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but it must be 1. or 2. that causes your problem.
I have built a clean Windows 7 install with no Virus portection and no Firewall to elimnate those two from the equation. Also I believe this maybe an issue in Vista as well base on reports from some friends. I guess my next check is going to be playing with the UAC (user account control) in 7/Vista, I can only imagine it has to lie somewhere in microsoft's OS now.
