Once a flight plan has been made and saved in FSC. How does one load it to FSX and have it become the real flight plan?

Hello fellow simmers I am new on the forum and I think I might need some direction in correct installing of FSC. I also would like an answer on v8.6
I am running FSX and I received my FSC software on Saturday v8.2. I loaded as per the on screen instructions, when FSX is running and I start FSC the FSX pauses. Why I do not know.
Should I de-instal the FSC software and re-instal it in the FSX directory and not in the Areosoft directory?
As the version I received is 8.2 what is the implecation updating to v8.6?

If Flight Sim Commander is open and FSX is also running, as soon as I click on the FSC screen FSX pauses. Is this common or is there a setting that I have missed out which will not pause FSX, as I am experiancing.
