  1.

    Have been trying to include an Affinitymask option for ActiveSkynect into FSuipc4, this for  Prepar3d.

    have put the following line in the FSuipc4 config file.:-

    [Programs]

    Run1=AM=3,C:\Program Files (x86)\HiFi\ASNext_P3D\ASNext.exe

    Am=3 I think represents running it on core 1, I have HT enabled, (lp 0,1)

    I can get the ASN program up ok but when I check the AM in the windows task manager its the same value (AM=116) as ihave called up in the Ppepar3D.cfg file

    Is this the correct way of going about it .

    many thanks

    The sim name in the Aircraft.cfg you show is the .air file.

    The FSUIPC Profile name is the title= name. That is what you need to use in your [Auto.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]

    [fltsim.7]

    title=Boeing 737-800 SWA <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<--------------FSUIPC Profile name

    sim=Boeing737-800 <----------------- this is used for the .air file

    model=

    In my edit above once I placed lua in front of frictions my B737-800 is working.

    thanks Jim, i will give that a go

    have installed ver 'K' then had a crash whilst trying to start Fsx, came up and got the start screen up ok but when I clicked on the fly button got a message to say 'can't load file'

    closed fsx down . tried to restart but nothing happened except got a message to say FSX already loaded.

    closed FSX.exe down in task manager and changed dll back to ver 'J' and ok again.

    running FSX on xp pro sp3 fsx sp2

    OK now, re downloaded ver 'K' and reinstalled

  5. have been trying to run OpenCloud weather program on FSX but have been getting crashes to desktop.

    the FSUIPC4 (reg) is ver 4.70 ( B)

    if I remove fsuipc4.dll from the modules folder everything runs ok.

    I uninstall ver 4.70 ( B) and installed ver 4.6a (not to sure if there a ver between these two, I just happened to have this one in my backups.) and OpenClould runs ok.

    is there anythinking in the config file I need to alter or adjust.

    I understand OpenClould just runs thro simconnect.

  6. I have one hard drive with 3 partitions, C:System, D:Games, E:others

    fsx is installed in D drive while fsx booster and mea are installed in c drive should i have fsps software installed on same drive as fsx (D:)

    I have 2 hard drives, C:\ and D:\

    use the D drive soley for flight sim and fsx is installed in the 'Program Files' folder in the 'Microsoft Games' folder.

    best to keep to the same path as most add ons look for this and all you need to change when installing any add on is to change the drive letter ie.... C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games to .... D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games

    therefore I install FSX Booster on the D drive ie D:\Program Files\FSPS

    it works fine for me on the D drive

  7. Thanks but I know that. I just want to know if FSX will start and run like it did BEFORE I ever had Booster, (and made the adjustments), if I DO NOT run the Booster program first? You see what I mean is after I have made abustments to FSX with the Booster program and then ran Booster and opened FSX and then played the Sim, can I, (at any time and with NO reinstallation of "original files" from Booster), just run FSX without having to do anything special just like if I never had Booster and get the same Sim operation that I had before I ever used BOOSTER? That's all I'm asking.

    I'll give an example of this: I get say 30FPS when flying over Niagra Falls in FSX. Then I buy Booster, install it and then make the adjustments per the instructions. Then, I run Booster and open FSX and fly over Niagra Falls and get 33 FPS. But I suddenly find that I have forgotten what my FPS was when I flew over Niagra BEFORE ever installing Booster. So, I want to know what that FPS was again and I am simply asking that if I started FSX WITHOUT starting Booster first, would I get the same FSX sim that I got when I first flew over the Falls without having to go through a file reinstall process from Booster's cache? That's all!

    Please dont tell me to just write down the old FPS so that I won't forget. Because the example I gave is just to get the question I have been asking understood. Besides, what if I didn't fly over an area first and then want to compare my Frame rate between the two? But please, this is not about frame rates and I don't want to have any solutions that go in that direction. This is about how deep Booster goes into FSX.

    So I hope that example clarifies things and if you own and use Booster then I certainly would appreciate it if you can tell me that answer. I don't want to run Booster until I know that. Thanks for trying.

    I'm just a user like your self therefore I can't give you a guarantee if the program has altered anything other than the fsx.cfg file.

    my suggestion 'I would make a copy of your fsx.cfg file before booting up the 'booster' just in case it does not get restored'. was to ensure that you should be able to run FSX as normal before you embarked on using 'Booster ' as my self have had times were clicking the restore button has not fully restored the correct file.

    i would also advise before using 'Booster. that your fsx.cfg file is a clean file( one that's not been altered with any tweaks or reference notes added.)

  8. after starting up 'Booster' and making any alterations in 'settings' you then proceed to start up fsx from within 'booster thus taking advantage of the program to assess your hardware.

    if you do not proceed then you will need to use the original fsx.cfg button to restore your original cfg file

    I would make a copy of your fsx.cfg file before booting up the 'booster' just in case it does not get restored.

    current ver 2.9.8.4

  9. Have installed ver 2.1.0 and it now shows my gpu, and on exit of fsx it now vacates the task bar. runnig fsx ok but just one question at the moment re the 'unlimited' box in settings. does not seem to do anything.

    tried in ticked and unticked it does not restrict my frame rates, have to manually set it 18 ( about best for my low end processor and gpu)

    any suggestions

    xp pro sp2

    ati hd2400xt 256

    4gb ram

  10. Hi,

    Yes you have white screen flashes, you have to check the stability option. It is mentioned at the manual.

    What recomentation message you get at the task bar?

    If no ram shows at your graphic card, then probably you have a very old gpu or very old driver for the gpu. Try to update to latest gpu version.

    thanks for yor response I reply as follows

    recommendations list:-

    Lite Autogen= checked

    Vsync=unchecked

    calculate traffic = checked

    calculate water = checked Fibers only at first = checked

    stability = checked

    a further issue I have is that the fsx.cfg file appears to be missing. ( the original one is there)

    you did'nt comment re the fsx booster program not exiting after fsx shutdown, in fact it takes two attempts to close the program from the task bar.

    I do not consider my ati radeon hd2400xt 512 mb card to be very old, the drivers have been updated in the last few days.

  11. hi I'm new to fsx booster, just download update 1.4.1.0 and having a problem inso much it does not exit the program after exiting msfsx, have uninstalled and reinstalled but to no avail.

    had another problem with white screen flashes but have reduced that with disabling the 'tooltips'

    have posted an email to support but did not get a response.

    also ask can I ask what do I do about the recommendations in the task bar pop up, or has these already been dealt with.

    in my pc info it reports no ram on graphics card

    os xp pro sp3 4gb ram, ati radion hd2400 512mb
