[SimConnect crashing FSX with FSUIPC]

I was a little hasty in sending of my post because I hadn't completed testing things out. I just went back and renamed the xml.dll back to it's original and now everything is working even "autothumbnail". I guess the secret was temporarily stopping it long enough to complete installing FSUIPC.

You always amaze me..... how do you have time to provide such rapid support and still have a life of your own?

Just purchased FSUIPC last night even after reading all the forum topics related to other utilities/programmes causing CTD's. I added your simconnect log utility, installed FSUIPC and, as expected, had the CTD. Looking in the simconnect log I determined, as other's had found, that "Autothumbnail" was probably the culprit. I renamed it's xml.dll file to xml.dll.bkp and flashed up FSX so have been able to register and get on with simming. I guess this will remain my fix until SP1 arrives or the thumbnail folks fix their end. Glad to have FSUIPC in FSX as I do using it in FS9. Thanks

Ver1.1 up and running. Thanks for the update, gentlemen, although I have FSX and know it has great potential (but not on my machine) it's a certainty that I'll be spending 90% of my simming in FS9 and among my comfortable, smooth running excellent sceneries like Vancouver+ and such.

I suspect that for some strange reason the shortcut to the Uninstall for Vancouver got pointed to the Pascua2 thing. I'm just in the process of d/l V1.0 , will reinstall, make sure I have retored the Defaults, uninstall and then execute the new V1.1 version. Will hopefully be reporting back with "Success" .

Is the new version download at simMarket the file I find "FSAD-Vanc-0001"? V1.1 not mentioned. I have d/l that file and have just finished restoring defaults and am about to uninstall V1.0 however when I select "uninstall" it brings up a page to install "Pascua2" which is my photo program. I've tried to move FSADDON to a different place on my Programs display but it does the same thing. Can I just go into the control panel and use the add/remove facility there or will that not do a complete uninstall?

[Cannot install FSNav ver. 4.7]

Weird. I brought up FSNav in FS9 to check the version I had already installed and it showed Ver 4.7 in spite of the installation hanging up as I stated in my previous post. Anyway I'm happy providing it was installed correctly. Can someone give me something to look for that was not in version 4.6 just to be sure? :roll:

I own version 4.6 . In attempting to install the new version the install page shows the various FS versions and I have checked FS9. Nothing happens when I select Next. I tried to see if I checked FS2002 in addition to FS9 and this started the installation process but since I didn't have FS2002 I couldn't bypass this and move on to installing FS9. Any suggestions?
