But perhaps it is not such a silly idea to use the 12VDC through a sine wave inverter to produce e.g. 240VAC and then transform that down to 24VDC

It looks like you had a very successful "show" there Francois - I hope that Jan allowed you sufficient time to circulate around and get to see all the other "bits-N-pieces"

I ALWAYS hated those sort of shows because you had to deal with SO many of the inevitable DORKS that just want to tell you just how great they are - usually managing to waste your time when REAL people appeared that you could potentially SELL something to

Thats why I eventually refused to attend the "stand" at all of the shows that I had to organise (I was lucky enough to have staff that HAD to) - it gets just ever so frustrating having to deal with the "peanut Brigade"

I think you know exactly what I mean from at least one photo - that must have been hard to get rid of

Anyway - I hope it all worked out well for you and that you made some good contact with Friends and had a chance to evaluate competitors and that you eventually got rid of the Dorks - or at least SOLD them something
