Hi Roy,
crucial for the proper installation and function under Win7 is read this file: ReadMe_before_Install_Win 7.txt.
Read also our announcement http://forum.simflig...rs-please-read/ .
If these recommendations are followed, then you will also, like many other users, have your fun with the FSCommander.
Regards,
Volker
Thanks for the reply Volker..... I forgot to mention that I had already followed the instructions as shown in the sticky Vista and Windows 7 users please read
Still no luck

Hi guys
I have been trying to run the demo for the last couple of hours but have not been able to get far.
I have installed FSX in a folder c:\Flight Simulator X and installed Comander in c:\FSC9 on my win7 machine
When I run FSCDbManager I get the message telling me that the path is invalid.
The path on the left is currently pointing to c:\FSC9.
I change the path in the left box to c:\Flight Simulator X but I still get a message on the right saying I need to select FS path in left drive
The right box is disabled and also looking at c:\FSC9
I have read the manual on how to install for FSX and scoured the Net for help but not found a solution to this.
If anyone knows what I am doing wrong I would be grateful.
Roy

Something I noted.........
when i try to run fsc.exe it tells me that the databases for flightsim 2004 are missing. I have only ever had fsx on this machine.
If I change fsc.ini where it says FSX=0 changing to FSX=1 then it tells me that it cannot find the databases for flight sim x which is better
The databasemanager error occours when I have either FSX=0 or FSX=1
Secondly, in the scenery.cfg file the first 3 lines are
[General]
Title=FS9 World Scenery
Description=FS9 Scenery Data
Again I have never had flightsim 2004 on this machine so I am not sure why it is not FS10 scenery data
I have emailed 2 screenshots to you as I don't have a web based storage areas setup
Cheers
Roy
