thanks, I'll have a look into it. If you know anybody using the Logitech G940 we should exchange ideas. I opted for this kit because it's the only flight kit around that has force-feedback...

thanks Pete. Just one more question: I have a Logitech G940 kit. The Throttle has a 3-position switch that allows it to assign 3 different values to the same keys and the Joystick has a Shift function that also allows to assign different functions to the keys. I have the impression FSX does not support the 3-position switch. Any feedbacks about this?
Regards

I'm a casual flyer and have now upgraded to FSX and a Logitech G940 joystick/throttle/pedals setup which I find quite nice. However, can't find anybody out there who has published profiles for that setup. I only fly single-engine planes, gliders and occasionally try out helicopters. What I would like to do is be able to save configs for each of these different machines so that I don't have to spend so much time just setting up the system before I can fly. It seems like FSX always reverts to something not quite the same as I left it, don't know if the fault is just of FSX or of the Logitech gear. The Logitech profiler does not seem to work with FSX, but apparently I need to have it open to set calibration and other characteristics. The .cfg files created by FSX are simply no good, they hold no information that I can see on the joystick axes and buttons, the only data I can see there seems to relate to scenery details and such (see attached file)
Any feedback on the subject is welcome and my question is: does FSUIP solve my problem and is it easy to use ?
Just a suggestion

Hi Peter
I have FSUIPC installed (free version) as I use FSFlyingSchool. I believe many not-so-advanced FSX users are a little daunted, as I am, by FSUIPC as a tool for tweaking their setup. Personally the only thing I'd want from the software is to help me with 2 issues:
Do you think it would be possible to come out with a simplified and limited version that would only do that and be less intimidating to beginners like me? I have a hunch there might be a market for this...
