Thanks for the quick response. Re-installing FSX SP2 seemed to do the trick. Its working fine now.

I am currently running FSX on Windows 7 SP1. I installed FSUIPC ver 4.80 and got the ok message. There were no previous versions installed. I was able to start up FSX but after selecting "fly now"", the loading terrain data"" got to 100% followed by a "fatal error" prompt. Next was a "windows fixing problem" prompt, followed by an automatic program restart and back into the same problem cycle..
