Monitor refresh rate?? Windows XP like to default to 60 hertz though if you use modern CAT drivers they should allow you to run at whatever refresh rate you choose. Check up on that though. Also enable vsync can cause tearing.
Haven´t heard of this issue before. Does nothing happen when you adjust the mip map slider?

Well I do have monitor refresh rate at 75 but maybe I should try to put that on higher. No change with flickering between 60 to 75 anyway. A good point, I´ll try that one.
I have been looking around if somebody else have this one and one guy emailed me that he has and can not get rid of that issue. Well maybe I should reinstall everything from OS to FS and see if that helps...

Perhaps your MIP MAP slider in FS9 is maxed, that's to say 8. Therefore try a lower value for example 4.

It is on the 4 and I have tried all possible combinations both in FS and drivers side. To drop a question here is more or less a cry from a guy who has given up all hope. It is fast card, I get a good FPS and picture is like a postcard but this flickering is making me mad, since I am flying 80 % VFR and my nerves and eyes can not tolerate this anymore. Probably Ati 9800Pro is for a IFR purpose only. =)

Just a quick question; I have a Ati 9800Pro 128 MB and my biggest problem is flickering ground textures in FS2004. Any ideas to fix it, I am ready for consultation but do you have removed this issue earlier...

Hi.
I am probably doing something wrong but I cannot solve this alone... =)
I bought both products a long time ago (FSUIPC4 and WIDE FS) separately and if I register FSUIPC, there is a button to register Wide FS. So I do that and then all FSUIPC options disappear... So what am I doing wrong here...
