Hey airforce2,
I took apart my PFC twin engine throttle as you suggested, but was not able to find the silver protocol switch.
I guess that since OnTop is working the quadrant will not support the MSFS comm protocol then?
Thanks,
Matthew

Hello,
I went back a few pages in the forum in the hopes that the question was asked recently but was unable to find it.
I have just installed FS2002 on my computer running WinXP. I installed the most recent versions of PFC.DLL (1.72) and FSUIPC (3.125) and although the install went as expected, the driver does not appear to be working correctly.
None of the sliders respond in the config windows and when I go to the 'test' tab, the right window is scrolling by at a rate of about 2 entries per second reporting the error '?=Unknown'.
There is some sort of communication occuring, otherwise there wouldn't be anything for the test pane to read. (As is the case when I try using COM3)
The setup works with On Top flawlessly, so I am pretty sure that it's not related to the hardware configuration.
I could not find a troubleshooting section in the accompanying documentation, so I thought I'd try here.
Regards,
Matthew Purdon.

Hey,
I started the process of upgrading my pfc quad for use with FS2002 (just got 2004). You must upgrade your quadrant if you do not have the protocol switch that is behind the throttle levers.
To make things easier on yourself and the people at FlyPFC make sure you let them know the pin counts and genders of the connectors that you have on your equipment. I found the people at flypfc very helpful even though I live outside of the US.
I am now in the process of debugging the pfc.dll operation. It seems that some of the buttons are not being recognized. For example; the left yoke switch is recognized by the tests when you push forward, but not back. the right one is not recognized at all.
Sometimes it would be nice if things just worked you know? hehehe

Matthew
