It seems as though Balloon Farms is the problem.
Disabling this Misty Mooring addon solves the Ketchican problem.

Not that the C64 had a desktop! :)
By the way, I did adjust the Scenery CFG file. Tongass is on top, just under Addon Scenery (Landscape first, Scenery Second), then Misty Fjords (same), then FSCargo, et al.
Seriously, though. I rarely have issues, which makes this kind of unique. Any other ideas?

I have exactly 2 of those files, as you indicate below.
I've flown many FSCargo mission in Misty and Tongass... Flying into Ketchikan has turned up an interesting error that I've never experienced before in FS9.
To be honest, this if my FIRST scenery CTD in over 20 years (from Sublogic C64, 1982 - yes, I know, I know, I'm just trying to make a point!!). :D
Me again,1-3% loading means it's probably not a texture issue. Could be a duplicate or faulty AFCAD. Do a Windows search for "AF2_PAKT". There should be one .bgl file in \FSAddon\Misty Fjords\Misty Fjords Afcad and another one in \Addon Scenery\scenery, both dated Nov 6, 2004. If you have other ones active then this may be the cause of the crash.

Weather: Doesn't matter.
Gets to about, I'd say... 1-3 per cent loading.
FS9 Crash.
Any other start position around Ketchikan, is okay. Slewing toward Ketchikan, once I get to about... I dunno... 5 miles or so... Instant CTD!

Forgive me... I have too many #!@$# links to keep everything straight! Let me know briefly what order, but I'm sure I have things okay.
Anywhere near Ketchikan, around 6 miles from any direction, BOOM! Crash to desktop.
No other Misty or Tongass has caused a problem, and I've spent a LOT of time in the Great White North! :D

Misty Fjords + Tongass
Nothing else major installed.
FSGenesis Meshes, Landclass etc.
FS Cargo (not turned on)
FS Passengers (not turned on)
Misty stuff is at the top, just under "Addon Scenery"
Tongass is just under the two Misty entries.
Anywhere near Ketchikan crashes FS9.
Is this a known issue?
Can I provide any information to get a fix?

:) I live in Wenatchee, KEAT is (throws rock) right over there. Just re-found this forum (don't ask, I registered many moons ago).
Has anyone done KEAT and surrounding area? I'm about to pick up Harvey Field and Lake Wenatchee today.
I drive right past Harvey almost 2 times a month to see my GF's sister in Everett (right off of HWY 9 and Cathcart).
Looked at Megascenery, but I just can't justify the HD space for an area that just misses my hometown.
Anyways, am I missing anything really cool aside from these 2 great scenery addons?

Living just a few minutes away from this adds to my enthusiasm for this airport.
I camp at Fish Lake all the time, and used to counsel kids at Lake Wenatchee YMCA.
Happy to see it!
Did you include the Fish Lake resort facilities? It's walking distance of the airport.
Hope to see KEAT and surrounding area soon as well! :)

It's the NOCD.
MS has now made sure that it checks for the original EXE when updating weather.
I've just burned my Disc 4 IMG to my HD and mount it to a virtual drive via Alcohol 120%.
I HATE SOFTWARE THAT REQUIRES A CD.

Starting a Flight and trying to enable dynamic weather. I goto Change Weather or whatever and click OK, and it just hourglasses.
Only a reboot gets my computer back.
Some people have said that it's Temporary Internet Files are full, I've cleared them.
Some people have said it's the NOCD, but I've used it since the initial install with no problems.
I just don't get it.

Is it possible for FSUIPC.dll to completely lock up FS2004?
Something has happened in the last month to completely break Dynamic Weather, and I can't determine what it is.

Only FSGenesis, MF and Tongass installed.
