  1. Hi Pete,

I have recently purchased PMDG 747-400 for fsx and and have mapped all of the controls I need to use on my Saitek Pro flight yoke system, with the exception of the throttles.I would like to use two of the levers for the 4 engines,is this possible?I do not have a manual on fsuipc,so hence the question.Hope you can help.Perhaps you can tell me where I can aquire a manual fo fsuipc.

    Regards Alan

  2. Your opinion like the other guys that replied to my post is very helpful quilljar, many thanks.I did a couple of hours last night on FS9 using nav and can now see It's potential,I am certain now that I shall buy it :) ....Best wishes Alan uk

  3. Hi Vulcan......thanks for the input, all info is useful,as you can see from my posts I am still trying to get my head round flying and navigation, I seem to be adding these progs to Fs9 and having then to start learning all over again :) ,all good fun Tho. 8) best wishes Alan uk

  4. Thanks again Bob,that info could help me to "predict" my landing runway,I might get it right a few times anyway  I suppose I could also wait until I come into ATIS range (it could be sooner than ATC tower)to mod my F/plan.Best wishes ....Alan uk

  5. Many thanks for your help guys,I should have realized about the wind direction for take off and landing, sometimes I think I forget more than I learn

I notice ATIS frequencies of destination A/P's are present on fsnav but on typing them into my radio stack I get no response,is there any way of getting an ATIS report from a destination A/P?.....Thanks Alan uk

  6. Hi...it's me again,would be grateful for an explanation...today I

created a flight plan with fsnav.from London City to Heathrow, more of a test flight really,me being a newbie to fsnav.

H/row is to the west of L/city so I took off from R/way 28 which was in line with my F/P calcs,my f/p also indicated that I would be landing on rw27r so I rightly/wrongly included rw27r into my F/P,however,at about 15nm out from H/row I asked for landing permission and ATC vectored me to r/w9L.As r/ways 9 & 27 were the active r/way at this time,I am puzzled as to why I could not use r/way 27r as it was a direct app from L/City.!.Consequently I had to do a quick inflight mod to my F/P to get to 9L,where did I go wrong? Alan uk

  7. Hiya Bob...thanks for your reply,I agree that it is a nice prog and feel perhaps as you do, that it is better perhaps to integrate it rather than entirely rely on it for almost everything.

I too like to use the gps for navigation, working out my own app's when possible and landing under my own steam,I learn a lot about app.speeds alt's and landing situations.I like to think(like most of us I'm sure, that we are reasonably close to the real world of flying, but we add these extra features to our sim without really knowing if we are in fact straying further away from the "real flying world". :? It is pretty certain that I shall register my prog, but try not to be too tempted to use it in It's entirety.best wishes....Alan uk

  8. Well,,,,,,,, I have had FSNav for a week or so now and have learnt the basics,I am only running the demo at present and am still trying to decide whether to go for the registration :?

It is an excellent prog but I feel it could make me lazy inasmuch that I am tempted to use it each time I fly,I really shoudn't do this cos I am still a rookie at flying and should practice the manual landings etc first.

I would welcome any views on this from you guys.....Alan

  9. Hi all ..I have been flight simming for a little longer than a year and have only just heard of fsnavigator  should I contemplate getting this program?as I notice a lot of simmers have it and wonder if it would be useful to me at this early stage of simming, thanks Alan uk
